We must stop using our human brains. We must use the so-called "second brain" in the form of AI.
>>109249837this chart is so retarded. tcp transport for the text content of the query/response is more than .15g co2e already.also this is just 'raw' power consumption of the chips, not taking into account power for cooling (roughly doubling that value), and not even taking into account the fact that basic queries trigger tools that will search the web, databases, apis, etc.
>>109249892>not taking into account power for cooling (roughly doubling that value)how?
>>109249837Humans brains use less electricity than computersOP is a retarded faggot
>>109249837>1kcal of brain runtimewhat? are you seriously telling me that thinking for 3 minutes consumes half a day of energy?
0/10 bait>>109251418Humans consume 2500kcal a day you moron
>>109250159By not taking it into account you fucking subhuman.
>>109249892and you're not taking into account the power used by your whole body necessary to keep the brain alived + the total power of your modern lifestyle so you don't jump out of window ;)
>>109249837the TOTAL cost of AI query is actually 2.45 g C02e, because every time i ask AI a question i spend about 3 minutes thinking how fucking retarded and gay AI is
>>109249837facts op, you should kill yourself. Nothing of value would be lost
>>109250159your body consumes roughly 10w working your brain only. 100w using your hands, and can burst at 1kw while sprinting.the ai requests consumption assumes the computer that runs it is only active for that request. a single nvl72 (gb200) server consumes 200-400kw. then you add about that same value for cooling, omitting pumps. while it's not respondig to requests it's still consuming a lot of power just to be turned onand by the way, these numbers do not even include construction/manufacturing, let alone training
>>109249837Human brains are deprecated
yall joking but we will soon all have our brains replaced with neuralink model Y, and you heard right, replaced
>>109254043cont.my main point is that energy is basically the basis of our economy. that's why you can hire a bunch of vietnamese/indians to do a better task than ai, while being cheaper.i'm talking about real costs, not the 20/mo plans where everybody knows they're not making money. my company spends roughly $8k/mo per employee on tokens. you could hire two full time employees, or a team of contractors for that money and get 100x work done.
>>109249837As a man, I already have two brains.
>>109254051like your mom's birth canal
>>109249837>second brainZettelkasten
>>109249837The problem with these arguments is that if you use machines you have to add the cost of human and machine together because nobody is killing humans here when they lose job to AI, they just go do another job. If you automate a person’s job society is now paying to keep the person alive and the machine running. Also most jobs are useless anyway and exist only to justify not having 4 or 3 day workweek because they can’t let goycattle have free time, so if you wanted to cull humanity to only keep the productive parts you would be doing genocides in billions way before LLMs we’re invented.
>>109249837
>>109249837Machines should be only counted as heavy reasoning and 8x the amount of regular query because everyone who uses them for anything useful generates few outputs, compares them and edits them with further prompts, driving the price up. It’s like the fucking image generation comparison, everyone that makes AI images generates fucking 20 of them and picks the best of the 20.
>>109253688>the power used by your whole body necessary to keep the brain alived + the total power of your modern lifestyle so you don't jump out of window ;)Because all of that is required to use the AI too.
