I set the side buttons as primary click so I can just left click with my thumb now, its kinda more comfortable. has anyone done this or im a weirdo
>>109253678sound like a weirdo to me
>>109253678Might make your mouse last longer due to Logishit's planned obsolescence with their double clicking and broken switchesSide buttons have been reliable for me but either the left or right button on both of my logishit mice has been acting upGonna get the cheapest possible Aliexpress mouse next time, at least then I get what I pay.
>>109253678why not get one of these?
>>109253678You can use the side buttons for minimizing and closing.Heres the sample:```Exempt(c,exe){return (c="Button"|| c="DV2ControlHost"|| c="NotifyIconOverflowWindow"|| c="Progman"|| c="SIBJumpView"|| c="Shell_TrayWnd"|| c="TaskListThumbnailWnd"|| c="Windows.UI.Core.CoreWindow"|| c="WorkerW")}ExemptMin(c,exe){return (c == "Qt691QWindowIcon")}XButton1::#!F3::WinGetClass,c,AWinGet,exe,ProcessName,Aif (Exempt(c,exe)|| ExemptMin(c,exe))returnWinSet,AlwaysOnTop,Off,AWinMinimize,AreturnXButton2::#!F6::WinGetClass,c,AWinGet,exe,ProcessName,Aif (Exempt(c,exe))returnWinClose,Areturn```
>>109253678I disabled my mouse's side buttons to mitigate accidentally pressing them and also not growing dependent on these buttons at all.
>>109254023I did the same because I never used them and also because back and forward while using a browser THERE ON THOSE BUTTONS is pretty dumb
>>109253678Mine are set to copy and paste it's very useful
Mine are set to play screaminagony.mp3 and screaminpleasure.mp3 respectively
I have the forward button set to a modifier, so:>back button = back>forward button + back button = forward>forward button + left click = pause>forward button + right click = next track>forward button + scroll wheel = volumeIt took a bit to get used to, but I find it pretty effective for my purposes. I use forward infrequently enough when browsing that I don't mind it being slightly less accessible.
>>109253678You could try an Elecom Deft trackball for a superior left thumb click experience.
>>109253678you may enjoy trackballs
>>109253678>Picrelgreat mouse! should be /g/ approved by now: logitech /g/305
>>109253678>or im a weirdoYou have the right the act like a retard.
I've had mine 6 years and still don't know what I'd upgrade to other than buying the same model. Most mice seem to be marketed towards gaymers with pointless features I don't need.>>109254023I did this, not really needed either since I use gestures. Mine has the double register problem with one of the buttons anyway.
>>109253678
>>109254023>accidentally pressing themis this you
>>109255824Not him, but I also press those sometimes during intense moments when I play FPS games and it's very irritating, as I use those for weapon switch or other actions. I bought a taller Logitech mouse not long ago that has those side buttons much higher than on any other mouse, yet I still press them sometimes. I think I might have a problem...
Bumper jumper type strategy, I like it.Never need to take index off the scroll wheel.
>>109253678Yes, my G502's left click and scroll wheel are broken, so I remapped them and the page up/down functions to the side buttons, and it's surprisingly comfy
