Is this the most raped company ever?

>Backed by both DARPA and Google
>synonymous with "futuristic sci-fi robots" throughout the 2000s and 2010s
>tease legitimately impressive machines like BigDog and Atlas that look like they could've come out of a movie set

>fast forward 10 years
>spend them playing with your dick and barely innovating
>Unitree is now leaps ahead of you in price and manufacturing and even Teslul is more prominent in the field despite you being 20 years early to the scene

How could this happen bros? I'm legitimately mad.

Also general zoid thread I guess

Unitree robots suck. The latest Atlas is better than anything put out by Unitree, even if it does look ugly. Figure AI mogs both though.

I never understood why they didn't take off. These guys were the OGs, and their robot still looks pretty capable. Are they really that far behind others? Chinese stuff looks like garbage though, I don't trust that their products are better than Boston Dynamics'.

drones can fly

Theyre making land based drones now for things like CASEVAC, mine clearing, and recon. It's actually becoming more and more relevant

so, RC cars?

Where are the sub 2k per unit Chinese Spot clones? Serious question. I know China has some start-ups that are leaps and bounds ahead of BD's R&D but how the fuck has manufacturing not caught up yet?

The simplest Unitree Go2 is $1,600 USD.

Shit they've really come down in price. Thanks anon. I've unironically long wanted to get one or two of these just to test them out as autonomous supervisors on my grandparents farm.
>just get quad drones
Yeah but those aren't nearly as cool.
