Anthropic wants lots of activity and controversy and discussion, they just want their name repeated as much as possible, because that's how they generate the hype necessary to drive billions of dollars into the IPO. Anthropic doesn't have hardware, they have to themselves less than half of what OpenAI does, and current data says that gap won't close for several years. Even with what they lease, which is the majority of their capacity, they can't touch the resources OpenAI and Google have. What they do have in-house they buy from Google, that's like Chevy needing to buy their engines from Ford, it's not a good look. Right now they're paying hand-over-fist for Google, Amazon, and Microsoft to serve their models and the subscriptions don't touch that money, even the API costs don't touch it. They lost almost $12b last year and they're losing more this year, it's an investment into the IPO which they're hoping will give them the funds to play catch-up with OpenAI.

Well it finally happened, it only took a fucking month. 5.6-Sol won. Complete Gameboy Color racing game, fully playable, multiple unlockable tracks, "graphics", even some bleep-bloops.

What other agentic harnesses do people like besides Cline? I use it with Deepseek, it works and I get things done with it but I don't really like it and whenever it gets a timeout it tries to tell me I should be using Claude instead.
Bonus points for things that work with Jetbrains IDEs, JB's own AI agent is shit though and won't play nice with Deepseek, I am not paying for an AI subscription on top of two IDE subs

Claude sub runs out today. Only AI I've paid $20 dollars for. I've been using Claude Code this entire time and have made 2 solid projects with one more in the works. what do? Pay another $20 or look at another AI?
I do not care for Fable and I have been using Opus 4.8 this entire time and only Sonnet for small unrelated things whenever I plan on doing something else later in day.

For me the interruptions and the loss of details of previous work (paths, specific instructions form me, etc.) is really a pain in the ass.
I added instructions to the AGENTS.md to read a lot of .md files and now I don't notice the loss of detail, but now the context window right after compaction is at 40% from all the docs, so the interruptions are even more frequent.

It tells you it has a 1 million token context but it's only good up until 400k. All models are like this. It's up to you and the more theoretical llm users to make the context window part of what you are engineering with and around. Even 400k is pushing it btw.

Back when I used GPT 5.4 or Opus 4.6 at 1M I didn't have any issues.
In my experience there are things models can or can not do and things they know or do not know and how filled the context doesn't really affect that. I think the context rot thing is a myth from old models and artificial NIAH tests that don't transfer cleanly to real use cases.
