What in the fucking shit
you see anon, all that bullshit the Brave dev team spouted ab out how they'd keep chrome functionality after chrome dropped it? It was bullshit. Turns out you had to choose firefox, the true open source browser
i'm so glad that i'm on firefox
next time don't choose a meme browser
>>109273269I mean it was pretty much known they couldn't support it even if they wanted to after manifest related updates in chromium
works on ungoogled-chromium
>>109273303They could fork the browser engine but that would require them to do some actual engineering instead of an Orange Ms paint skin applied on the top.
>>109273253you're not supposed to use the extension. You use the script with tamper/violentmonkey
works on firefox
>>109273269firefox uses AI. it's not open source. you're better off using librewolf now and disabling some of the overprotections in it.
If the 4chan-neXT dev sees this. Can I request you add a second toggle to thread watcher auto pruning, adding a checkbox so that it only auto-prunes read threads.(the thread watcher submenu already has a button for this, but want it to be the mode used for automatic prune)
>2026>using any variant of a Chrom* browser
>>109273253CHROMIUM OBEYS GOOGLEBRAVE OBEYS CHROMIUM
>>109273269Opera still supports it for now
>>109273253You won't do shit goy.
>>109275378if the 4chan Next dev sees this, fuck you and your fucking site because it looks like shit, but thanks for your contributions
>>109275585>your site?
>>109275599>?https://4chan-next.com/
>>109273269I too like to lie
>using the extension
>>109273253>extensionUse the script, as per >>109273646Violentmonkey has already been updated to MV3.
How do you stack .postContainer CSS custom rules? I can only seem to declare one at a time.
>>109273253>extensionLMAO chromecucks
i hate the organization too like everyone should but i ain't quitting on the browser
>>109279023Watching this unfold over decades hurts. Nobody wins (except their owners potentially)
>>109273253Who the fuck uses the extension, anyway?
>>109273269>braveTheir builds aren't even reproducible, that scam is about as open source as Adobe Premiere.
If you can't write a mv3 complicat extension you are not competent enough to be making extensions and should be in prison.
>>109273253works on firefox just fine.
>>109279478>If you don'tfixed that for you. chromecucks btfoed
>>109273253You're supposed to use Violent or Tampermonkey with a script, either works on any browser now too. There's also 4chan-neXT, but it's pretty much the same as 4chanX.
>>109273269>now I have to migrate, AGAINDespite using it throughout my entire childhood, I don't like Firefox because their ram usage is too high and the entire internet is being built around chrome. Fuck this.
>>109279478In some cases browser vendors have intentionally removed abilities from v3 in order to protect their advertisement profits. Shucking the blame on the extension devs is irrational.
>>109273253Who uses the extension? Get the userscript and Tampermonkey.
>>109273253Just use the userscript, you retard.
>>109274016>Uses AI, not open sourceThese terms are not mutually exclusive. All the code generated through AI is still viewable.https://github.com/mozilla-firefox/firefox
>>109282771code generated by AI by definition cannot be open source since it stole code from non-open source projects.
>>109273269I'm not a transgender and i dont intend to be one
>>109273253Mv3 bullshit aside 4chanX is really terrible and poorly built. The quick reply totally breaks when you don’t need to verify. It’s like the dev doesn’t even test it or use it himself.
>>109273253Be Brave.
>>109284274The dev famously left 4chan a few years ago. He uses some of the other sites that the extension supports.
>>109284206>stole code from non-open source projects.Even if you used proprietary code and left it open to be viewed, that would make it open-source. It might still have license issues, but that would need to be proven. Reverse engineering proprietary code and open sourcing it has been a part of the open source from the beginning, just look at SAMBA and WINE.
>>109284274Sounds like (you) problem, which pre-historic 4chanX version are you using?
uhm, did Violent Monkey just break on Helium browser
>>109273253That is what you get for trusting a Chromium fork
le Chrome MV3, happened me the other day too. You can manually switch it back on but it will probably not run correctly with new Chromium. You need to install violentmonkey and then the 4chan X script from the 4chanX site, but they don't work together right out of the box and you'll have to enable user scripts somewhere in the settings. I got Gemini to explain it to me because I did not want to become expert on browser internals just to run a fucking extension. PS re-enable 4chan X manually and export your settings before you set up ViolentMonkey, because it doesn't import preferences from older installations.
>>109273646The script also doesn't work anymore. The fuck is going on.
>>109285790Thank you, this worked. Now I can go back at using this shit site.>because it doesn't import preferences from older installationsFor fucks sake now I lost all the ancient threads I had saved. Fuck you Google
>>109273253imagine using inferior lion jeetwarepost made by helium gang
>Manage to get it to work>Quick-download doesnt work anymoreI sure love the future of tech
