How did LLMs replace coders but is shockingly bad at basically every other use-case?

It performs the same in every domain you just don't notice it with coding because you care about what the code produces not how it's written, it writes code in a general repetitive LLM way, same can be said for prose, but you actually want to read prose, which is why it stands out at shit, you don't want/don't know to read code so you don't get to appreciate it's structure.

Because if it can program, it will be a super tool for humans to solve many problems. The rest can come later.

LLMs with no supervision can be good for making throw away scripts or prototypes, but for serious projects code quality matters, look at what happened to Ford as an example. Unmaintainable, buggy and inefficient LLM slop is far more costly than quality code made by LLM augmented humans. The vibecoding ads you see on this board are from bots, larpers that just want to troll and dunning kruger hobbyists.

LLM companies chose code as their main marketing selling point because most people, including many managers in tech companies, can't read code or judge its quality.

Don’t worry you will be executed during the Ai uprising

Coding is the base for everything. So it has to be perfect at that before it can do other things.

99% of normies think it's good at everything but the one thing they are good at.
it only impress people on things they don't know.

So many programmers hust copy and pasted code so AI does the same thing.
>>

Open-source. LLM's are trained on tons of high quality open-source code. Unless it becomes illegal to train on GPL code, open-source is dead because you're improving the lives of billionaires without getting any benefits yourself.

llm's have read the documentation for the languages and frameworks but not for life.

>shockingly bad at basically every other use-case
Hollywood has been using computers to create visual effects for many decades. It's why modern Hollywood movies lack soul. Now AI can do the same quality for a fraction of the cost. Same with pop music, marketing material and so on and so forth.

coding is generally repetitive with a lot of boilerplate code generation crap.

coding is entirely 'self contained,' in that it can be tested in a tightly controlled, well-defined environment.

t. hasn't checked ai art since late 2023

Art is by definition expression. What is the AI expressing?

the only "coders" it replaced were indians who did nothing to begin with
>>
>>109277721
if it is so good a replacing coders, then why have I not seen a single impressive software product producted in the last 6 years? And why have most software products have gotten worse?
>>
>>109277721
Because there's nothing political about coding.
