Were so back Violentmonkey bro's. it's beta right now

https://violentmonkey.github.io/
>>
>>109279569
That's great, but 4chanX hasn't been updated, and now the image download button doesn't work.
>>
>>109280001
Yes it has. But just like many other great open sauce projects, it's only maintaned by the 9385th fork on github (until it needs another fork), good luck finding it, bro.
>>
>>109280032
Could you help me with that, if you've found it yourself?
>>
>>109280040
https://github.com/cercos/4chan-neXT
https://github.com/ccd0/4chan-x/

I use the first one for no particular reason, they seem to be 90% the same.

Thank you. Regarding neXT, is there a way to change the (You) and reply highlight to the old style?
>>
>>109280052
>>109280140
Huh, the download button still doesn't work.
>>
>>109280140
Probably? Click on the wrench on the top right and change the settings. I never used this (You) highlight so I don't know exactly how to do it.

I think my browser just doesn't want to download images unless I right click them.
>>
>>109280252
I needed to disable automatic downloads and enable them again. Fuck, there was nothing wrong with 4chan XT.
>>
>>109279569
any reason to use that ugly thing over tampermonkey?
>>
>>109280271
you're retarded and should keep using p*******y trash
>>
>>109280299
ok so it really is just gnu-tard shit with worse ux and no actual reason to use it, thanks
>>
>>109280260
And it's back to being broken, and the trick doesn't work anymore. At least now I know that the problem isn't caused by 4chanX.
>>
No such issues with my Mozilla Firefox browser.
>>
>>109279569
Why didn't those lazy retards do this years ago like everyone else?
>>
>>109280271
because tampermonkey is closed source spyware
>>
Use case for MV3?
>>
delete firebotnet before it destroys your SSD NOW!
>>
>>109281018
extensions can't be "closed source", you can always read the code
>>
>>109280271
It's open source and that's about it, Tampermonkey's only advantage is that it's avaliable from the Chrome web store. That aside, they're both pretty much the same.
>>
>>109281297
ok show me the source code
>>
i just switched to scriptcat, loads 4chanx that's all I need it to do.
>>
>>109281568
scriptcat is shit

literally everyone that installs this script disables the highlight backgrounds, it looks like shit and the next dev refuses to leave it disabled by default lmao

what dont you like about mv3?
>>

Primarily requiring user consent for doing stuff.

MY USERSCRIPTS ARE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!!!!!
>>
>>109284988
long live monke
>>
>>109281001
Because they are lazy retards and just wanted to complain and spew anti-Google rhetoric instead of simply using the newer API.
Same reason there are still programs that use GTK 2.
>>
>>109285057
saw some guy pushing python 2 the other day. like nigga do you know what year it is
>>
>>109279569
based. so with ublock origin lite also updated to support scriptlets we just need umatrix now
>>
>>109285057
but gtk2 is still better the gtk3/4
>>
File: file.png (132 KB, 1017x752)

on Brave umatrix support is baked in
>>
well everythings broke for me this has been a real real shitty day
>>
>>109285405
brave bot kun this has nothing to do with userscript stuff
>>
>>109285405
uMatrix is (sadly) abandonware and as such is a danger to use. I loved uMatrix but switched to uBO only a while ago since uMatrix hasn't been touched in 5 years. Idk why they even have it in Brave as it's such a liability now.

Wtf..

Yeah, yeah... when will my humble greasyfork youtube userscripts start working again?

I'm already having withdrawal from not being able to have vaporwave and nightcore and fixing the shorts UI on demand
>>
So this is why all my v2 scripts are dead since today?
Can't I enable v2 somefuckinghow?
Vivaldi still supports v2
>>
>>109287284
You just answered your own question
>>
>>109281845
Well I'll move back to Violentmonkey once Mv3 support hits the main branch.
>>
>>109286770
You should only use Firefox if being a freetard is a second job to you, sites are made with chromium in mind, if you don't enjoy fixing stuff for free, stick to chromium.
>>
>>109287711
not only that firefox is shit with memory management, like god awful
>>
Ahh, so this is why my 4chanX scripts broke.
>>

So what do I do if uBlock and 4chanx are kill on chrome/Brave?
Where do I go next? I am tired of jumping about browsers. If Chrome allowed legacy extensions I would have stayed there, it was the best.
>>
>>109287828
Firefox is god awful all around. I can understand why people desperately still cling to it but the harsh truth is Mozilla has given up in the early 2010s and that's soon to be two decades ago. It's time to let the fuck go.
>>
>>109288103
the only reason anyone would use the shill lion is because of the native ublock-rust, how can you be that retarded?
>>
>>109288171
>muh native ublock
It is an inferior knock off of the original UBO which in and of itself didn't even have all features UB+UM used to have. Fuck off lion shill.
>>
>>109288117
and google is 90% of their revenue because they need them around to skirt the monopoly law
>>
>>109288103
You stop lying, that's what you do. Both of those things are currently working on Brave. 4chanX also never stopped worked if you used Tampermonkey, and Violentmonkey has already been updated.
>>
>>109288247
>inferior
It literally uses the same filter lists.
>>
>>109288306
Yeah and if filter lists were all UB/UBO are then no one would be bitching about MV2 deprecation. I wish Brave kept its promises but it didn't.
>>
>>109288316
>no one would be bitching
I'm not bitching, shields works perfectly for me.
>kept its promises
What promises?
>>
>>109288247
>lion shill.
I'm not using that trash, obviously. I just assumed it would be better than uBOL at least and that maybe someone could put it in a chromium fork that isn't sketchy crypto-shit
>>
>>109288327
>I'm not bitching
I wasn't talking about you specifically but in general. MV2 deprecation has been talked about for a long time.
>What promises?
Long term MV2 extension/API support which they dropped like everyone else basically.
>>
>>109288343
>Long term MV2 extension/API support
Where did they promise that?
Eich specifically said they weren't gonna be able to support it after google removed it from upstream.
>>
>>109288281
uBlock now works again on Brave? I'll go back then, it was better than Firefox.
>>
>>109288494
always worked on Brave, they had that extension baked in for support. Go to Settings >extensions >Manifest v2 extensions
>>
>>109288494
If what >>109285405 posted is true it should be working just fine
