>>109280272>thinly veiled antisemitism thread
>>109280272Too fucking late, EU top good goy already sold us out. You're not allowed to charge surcharges for credit cards in the EU, so soon no one will use anything else. The reason PIX wins in Brazil, is because credit cards are more expensive to buy something with.
how anti-semitic is it?
They love it because the central bank of Brazil can monitor and control all the Pix transactions in real time.
>>109281102no financial penalties, since it works like America's Zelle (which is usually monitored by American banks)
>>109280646Why would extra fees be good? That's a good decision to ban surcharges.
>>109281136They monitor them anyway.Would you prefer (((private banks))) to monitor your transactions instead
>>109281173Because you actually get some privacy with credit cards. Central bank does not see the transactions in real time like they do with Pix.
4chuds have been fearmongering about CBDC, but the digital euro is supposed to be that and more. You could charge your phone with digital euro and pay anywhere even without internet connectionImagine the butthurt among (((bankers))). No more fees they can get fat on
>>109281180What is the difference exactly?
so why does it anger Zuckerberg?
>>109281180It's not possible to have a system where private banks don't monitor your transactions, since your money is stored in a private bank.
>>109281185>>109281180>>109281195Why do you think somehow the central bank is worse for privacy than private banks? The central bank at least is under some parliamentary control, their chief is appointed by the parliament.Private banks can't be held accountable by anyone.
>>109281207It is possible to an extent in theory because it is the credit card company tracks the payments, and then reports them to the bank.
>>109281215Parliamentary control? What are you smoking? The central bank is as private as the rest of them.
>>109281207It doesn't have to.Both Pix and the digital euro that is planned store actual tender money in digital form like crypto do, on servers. One way or another transactions must be stores somewhere, so they better be in some repository of an institution that is publicly controlled.Of course if you don't like that, you go and get all your money out in cash and only pay cash. No online transactions. But there are obvious limits to that.As long as you make remote payments you will have to go through some digital system which will leave a trace
Every country has their own QR based payment system. What's the issue?
>>109281232Only in the USA.In Europe, they're appointed by parliaments or presidents, might vary from country to country.
>>109281215The central bank has a lot more control than the regular banks. They can link your transactions to all the rest of the data the government has collected on you. Regular banks cant do this (for now)
>>109281185Credit cards can deny you from buying something. We already saw that when they target steam and anime stuff
>>109281250If you're such a hard edge guy, then take all your money, destroy all your IDs and go live in a forest. Then they won't have any data on you that wasn't old
>>109281259Central bank can do this and much worse. They can turn off your CPF in Brazil and then you are completely fucked.
>innovation>brazilyeah, 'bout that...(AI summary)>The Rio-3.5-Open-397B AI model by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall was heavily criticized and revealed to be a direct merge of two pre-existing Chinese AI models (Qwen and Nex), rather than a true native innovation.>When the model was uploaded to Hugging Face, it was initially presented as an original creation by IplanRIO. However, developers quickly analyzed the weights of the model and found it to be a pasted-together composition of 60% of one pre-existing model and 40% of another across all its layers. Community investigations and code audits on platforms like GitHub proved the model was a Frankenstein merge rather than a 100% trained-from-scratch Brazilian system.>The controversy sparked major backlash regarding the transparency and legitimacy of the project, with IplanRIO later updating the model's repository description to reflect its actual origins. If you'd like to dive into the technical details and community discussions regarding the model's architecture, you can check out the official NVIDIA Developer Forums breakdown: >https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/rio-3-5-open-397b-official-1m-token-mit-licensed-ai-model/373294
>>109280272payment systems alone are not money, the same way visa is not money, and if your money is closed source you are cucked and you will be poor and enslaved

>The digital euro would also have an offline mode, allowing payments without an Internet connection. In those cases, transaction details would not be recorded, with only the resulting changes in account balances visible.Quite based. You could go some place where there's no internet and still be able to pay. Or pay with your digital euro card even without any app or phone. And then transaction details would not be recorded, only the balance would be updated next time you connect to your account
>>109281506>You could go some place where there's no internetGermany, for example. It's puzzling how bad mobile networks they still have.
>>109281239The issue is lost revenue for american payment networks like Visa and such. This is 20+ trillion dollar industry, so trump is punishing BRICS nations with more tariffs.
How were they able to produce a payment system like that without getting killed? I'm actually wondering this.
>>109281702payment alone is not money, payment alone is moving money which is very different
>>109281136This. Never trust glowniggers.Monero is all I need.
>>109281702Is everyone ITT a paid narrative seeder or are you all fucking retarded? This Pix thing is literally a CBDC. Fee income doesn't matter. By launching low fee digital options they're finally getting poor thirdies to stop using cash. This gives banks more control (what actually matters). Not just monitoring but eventually doing negative interest rate type things. They will also probably airdrop money into people's accounts. Most people will love it just like they've been loving it already. Cattle to the slaughter.
>>109280272*Bolsonaro supporters will be monitored for wrongthing activities
>>109282015This.Every favelado has Pix on their phone. It's all they use.
>>109281180>>109281215>>109281250>False choiceI prefer anonymous decentralized currency that can't be tracked, like gold and monero.
>>109281886Can I go to the supermarket and use le monero?>>109281283Uneducated.
>>109283119>Can I use monero at supermarket? If more people adopted it, you could. However, the other solution would be silver and gold.
>>109280646>The reason PIX wins in Brazil, is because credit cards are more expensive to buy something with.No. The price doesn't change at all for the consumer. But PIX is far faster than credit cards and you can pay at a distance. It's wild that Americans don't realise how fucking shit credit cards are.
>>109280272>Paul KrugmanA communist
>>109280272That's great I'm still not going to pretend Brazil is anything but a seventh world shithole.>you don't understand we have to imprison people running youtube frontends!

>>109281576You can thank our conservative government who continously underfunded and still underfunds any kind of infrastructure, be it streets, the power grid, fiber or mobile networks
Sounds like a great system, but you still live in Brazil.
>>109280272I can guarantee you the only one upset here is @AIPAC (America's Pro-Israel Lobby) largest Jewish lobby.Goldman Sachs is probably the most upset with this system, because that means they cannot leverage the US blocking transactions or sanctioning companies from doing business. This causes Goldman Sachs which operate in Brazil from having leverage.Trump is too fucking stupid to care about Pix payment system, this is literally @AIPAC telling him what to do
>>109283144So why don't they? I'm not anti-monero, I like the idea and have used it a few times. But I'm not gonna go around shilling it to every retailer I meet. This is the problem with ideology-based currencies, the understandable question of 'what's in it for me' is too abstract for most people who just want an easy way to transact. I have a decent farmer's market near me where I get most of my fruit and veg, people take cash of course but every vendor defaults to Square because they just punch in the amount on their phone and hold out the little plastic square and boom, transaction done. It takes ~5 seconds compared maybe 30 seconds for a cash transaction and they're doing 50-200 transaction an hour depending how many people are working on the market stand. So what Square offer them is simplicity, reliability, and speed, plus I assume they have tools to do nice tables and charts for accounting purposes. At this point it's so ubiquitous that I'm expecting to see bums with Square receivers. Like what is the advantage to vendors if they start accepting payment in BTC or Monero? They'll still have to pay taxes on their profits and they'll still have to display the prices in $ (or Euro or whatever local currency). Do you want them to write out additional spot prices in the top 10 cryptocurrencies to potentially make 1 or 2 extra sales a day from specie autists?

>>109284264Electronic transactions, you moron.
Im from brazil. So basically we can choose between being tracked by (((visa))) or zog (((pix))). On top of that every places requires faceid because they are trying to copy big chains. Like a small gym is trying to copy smartfit and put these fucking face scan on the door. Now guess who owns smartfit, yes it is (((blackrock))). Same for burger and hotel chains. Theres a lot of (((smart hotels))) chains here, 0 employees and 100% tracking. On top of that the internet censorship is on tier with china. Oh, and also last month they send someone to jail because he was talking about killing with chatgpt. Truly innovative payment system we have here.
>>109281702>>109284394because this is jew visa vs jew pix, same thing, different name and the goyim here really likes pix
