Never, Nvidia is unwilling to open source their shit because they believe it will somehow kill their monopoly and AMD/Intel will be able to steal all their tech. doesn't it still have limitations with rays just like regular goytracing? it's just version two before they release another version.

everything sucks in the PC space right now, I've been looking for a good miniitx case and they all have one massive flaw somehow, like, they need to make a case like the fractal ridge but they need to find a way to for you to install a 240mm aio in it
in the cases where the gpu cooling is adequate the cpu cooling in not and vice versa
the gpu needs a chamber on it's own and the cpu needs a 240mm aio space or a cooler bigger than 2U size
>>
>>109283181
Ignore RT/PT shills, NVIDIA didn't even update ray reconstruction that works with DLSS 4.5 yet.
>>
>>109283181
It's basically a beta version for true ray tracing, the ray tracing they introduced first is an alpha build. Either way for real ray tracing without needing other cope shit like ray reconstruction(aka a denoiser) we're gonna need a GPU that can do at least 1k rays.
>>

I didn't really have anywhere to put a SATA SSD, so I stuck it in the spot shown in the picture.
It's kind of touching the HDD, but from below. There's a plastic tray under the HDD, but it doesn't completely cover the HDD, so it's possible that some of its parts are in contact with the SSD.
Could this cause any problems? Should I take the SATA SSD out of there and put it somewhere else?

Look at sandwich style ITX cases like the era 2. The ones where you can put two fans at the bottom and a 240mm rad at the top have god tier airflow since it's literally two fans pushing all hot air in the case directly to the AIO fans to be pushed out.

Board vendors have some custom memory tuning profile that is better than XMP, they basically increase tREFI, tighten tRFC and 2~4 other timings.
But the manufacturers only have custom profiles for popular kits like Hynix DDR5.
Stability is not guaranteed, and these profiles generally set higher than needed CPU & memory voltages.

I'm pretty sure my 7800XT Red Devil just fucking died, and it's no longer under warranty (bought it two and a half years ago)...

It consistently crashes to a black screen with an audio error, resulting in a Code 31 driver error, specifically when I launch or load into games. I have tried the following:
>Multiple DDU clean driver installations
>Updated Motherboard BIOS to the latest stable version (FC3)
>Tested RAM with EXPO disabled
>Reduced GPU power limits via Adrenalin
>Verified CPU temperatures (max 80C under load)
>Permanently blocked Windows Update drivers

I guess I should be glad it wasn't my PSU getting fried alongside the entire PC...

Anyway, should I even bother contacting PowerColor or will they just tell me to go fuck myself? If I'm out of luck, what decent GPU (preferably a similar one in specs) could I get for up to 500€? I haven't been following GPU prices for a while now, but I know they are definitely more expensive than when I bought mine (thanks Fag Altman!)

Don't know if you're still here to read this Anon but I'll echo what others have told you to either get a 4K OLED which mitigates the color fringing by 85-90% or an RGB OLED which will 100% solve it. But also regardless of whatever monitor you replace that one with chances are the color/picture settings will be unoptimized out of the box so bookmark this all-purpose setup guide:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq3_XvjvQCE

And then afterward if you don't have a hardware colorimeter (they are $80 used) you can use a piece of office paper at night with no other lights on in the room to make sure your color's white-balance is correct by eyeballing like so:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avJTz1JhkR4

Once you have a true white you'll never be able to look at other displays that have drifted to warm/red or cool/blue in color temperature again.

https://www.techpowerup.com/350751/intel-shifts-majority-of-nova-lake-production-in-house-amid-yield-improvements
>n. According to a research note from investment bank KeyBanc Capital Markets, Intel initially planned to outsource the main compute tile production for "Nova Lake" to TSMC, utilizing its 2 nm N2 node. The majority of the production, about 60-70%, was to be handled by TSMC, with the remainder produced in-house by Intel Foundry on the 18A node. This meant Intel would dual-source production for its next-generation chip. However, the latest supply chain information suggests that the company now intends to bring the majority of "Nova Lake" compute tile production in-house, with about 80-90% of the tiles being manufactured by Intel Foundry.
...Good news? The less NVL silicon has to minted at TSMC the less Intel (and consumers by extension) will have to pay extra as a ransom to them, right?

Windows 11 is using 14gb of ram with only firefox running with 1 tab. And Firefox is only 500mb of that according to resource monitor. Wild.
Guess I'll do a clean install of Windows this weekend even though I just did it a couple of months ago. Really doesn't feel like I installed enough to be running up that much ram usage in the background. Curious to see how much is being used on a clean up-to-date setup with nothing else installed.

Get whichever drive that is most reasonably priced with the better endurance rating.
NV3's 640 TBW should be good enough for most casual users.
Install games that are frequently updated (multiplayer shooters etc) on a separate SATA SSD if you already have one.

to keep its clean aesthetics, it uses the 12vhpwr connector, which it keeps hidden at the back under that plate. The connector is a very bad standard, and unless seated properly will cause problems. It's not AS likely as on the thirstier nvidia cards, but it has melted on people with this card before.
>>
>>109286462
The nitro+ uses the new 12vhpwr connector that has been melting in Nvidia cards since the 4000 series, best to get a different model like the Pulse or the Hellhound/Red Devil.

I have had the NTR+ card since April 2025 and it's fine, I think you just need to seat the cable properly and then route it in a way so there is no tugging over time that would make it even slightly dislodge. The latest HWiNFO update has added hotspot temperature monitoring for NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, giving users access to a sensor that wasn’t previously available in popular monitoring tools.

The new feature comes just days after reports showed that RTX 50 cards still had a working hotspot sensor, but it could only be accessed using NVIDIA’s internal diagnostic software.

In one case, an RTX 5070 Ti appeared to be running at a normal 68°C, while its hidden hotspot temperature had reached 107°C, causing thermal throttling due to poor cooler contact.

With the update, RTX 50 owners can now check hotspot temperatures directly in HWiNFO
