luddite status?
It's actuall over...
OBLITERATED
I cant wait to see an open sourced local model fully integrated. Anti-AI (not all of them) dont get it, that this was always the end goal. Go back to literal 60s and saying "hey computer do thing" was the future. Not debugging source code.
he's not talking about you useless sacks of vibeshitters btw
it's all nice and good until the subsidized compute stops

Linus is a shit programmer and Linux has always been a shit OS. It's objectively bad. And so are all the other operating systems.
>>109285433>>109285440you both are fucking unbelievably ass blasted. Why did you even fucking reply? He's talking about anyone using AI as a tool you fucking retard.
>>109286012>Claude, generate a program that does *thing*>Using AI as a tool btw
>>109286208i look over my code and i am not some genius fucking coder. im not a fucking retard either. I don't expect to code some huge fucking thing but understanding things and using what you understand as code snippets or use cases helps a lot with learning. also ai explains things but you know whatever faggot. kill yourself!
I would get his points if they (Linus, kernel developers, related foundations) actually did any sort of assessment on the usefulness of AI code and could show me that it's useful etc. I don't see any professionalism here though or engineering mindset, just some "feels" and I'm getting the feeling that Linus himself is somehow benefiting (monetarily) from his pro-AI stance.I definitely can see the usefulness of AI in assisting with code, that's for sure. Automated security scanning is incredibly helpful and something that fits the current technology very well (since we don't expect them to find every single vulnerability and instead treat it as a additional tool to find issues and not even necessary fix them either)anyway, wish they had more proof before jumping in. also there's the whole license laundering thing going on and some American courts already deciding that LLM produced code can't be licensed, Linus has no opinion on this? it also seems like he's also very selective about his ethical concerns, since he was so vocal earlier about being pro-trans and whatever, yet he hasn't commented a single thing about the ethical concerns of AI
>>109285424wtf is even that
>>109286012sure thing lil bro, they totally accept clueless vibeslop. holy delusional faggot
I'm going to rub every single CVE and bug in Linus' stupid fucking face from now on
>also seems like he's also very selective about his ethical concerns, since he was so vocal earlier about being pro-trans and whatever, yet he hasn't commented a single thing about the ethical concerns of AIHoly non sequitur."You like Peking duck? Doesn't also liking the color blue make you a massive hypocrite?!"

>>109285379We need to remove Linus from the development process.
>>109285379AI will cause an implosion in the long term.everyone will become dependent on it and one day the AI will stop working and then everyone who was a vibe coder will be stuck without a soul to guide them
>>109293006AI will implode in two weeks
