You need to create a system that can physically destroy all memory and storage on a PC. You should be able to activate it remotely, it should work in under a minute and should make it impossible to recover even a byte of the data on your machine. How do you do it?
Bonus points if the system can fit in a laptop

Even a small magnesium thermite charge will heat an HDD above its curie point.

>You need to create a system that can physically destroy all memory and storage on a PC. You should be able to activate it remotely,

Storage is easy. External NVME with long enough USB cord to reach a blender that is on backup power. Make said blender remote control. Start blender right after saying, "Will it blend?!?"
>>
run some wiring around the RAM and NVME, then pump a lot of current through it when you need it destroyed. you might also want to add insulation around the RAM and NVME, but not too much because it needs cooling under normal operation.

there is a good chance that one or more memory chips will be left intact

Then it clearly was not a Blentec blender.

Guide? What software encryption?
>>
simplest and fastest is to store only encrypted data permanently and have encryption headers/keys on removable storage. the can't be accessed unless booted with that device, and the destruction of the keys renders the data inaccessible
>>
>>109328186
I've actually been thinking about doing this but with a kernel module but for CPUs instead of storage devices, the idea is to make a kernel module that disable CPU temperature regulation so it allows the CPU to heat until it melts and dies, I think you could do the same with SSDs maybe since they do have temperature sensors too, but I'm not sure if they can overheat like CPUs do.

Well there is a black cube on the OP... I'm in.
>>
C4 attached to HDD, blasting cap and trigger connected to burner phone that you can call
>>
Remotely controlled small butane blue-flame lighter pointed at a small piece of magnesium ribbon sitting in a packet of thermite(iron rust and aluminum powder IIRC). Will melt HDD/SSD in seconds, and will burn ultra-hot and bright as the sun in the process. Even if you trigger it as soon as someone enters the room, once the magnesium ribbon lights they won't be able to touch shit without a fire extinguisher, and it will most likely overwhelm any fire extinguisher they use.

Have thermite rigged so it lights on fire by push of a button or sensor.

I actually have chink military 120gb ssd with self destruct function.
Back in the day you could buy those on ebay and they didn't cost any more than regular western consumer drives.
Brand is Runcore.

>>109328224
I doubt that. They recovered the content of a hard drive that fell through the atmosphere, and lingered in the fucking ocean.

is your ocean full of magnet sir?

>>109330049
What the fuck is a "magnet sir"?
>>
>>109330026
I don't know what incident you're referencing, but if you heat a HDD platter above 770°C all data on it will be lost as the magnetic field randomizes. Thermite can easily achieve that.
>>
>>109330085
I didn't know the ocean was above a kilo degree!

Just use the functions SSDs provide to wipe themselves. Basically a minimal boot loader that executes them, that gets selected as boot target in NVRAM. So you reboot into that cursed system and all your data is gone.

Otherwise use LUKS and just wipe the decryption table. A live system can wipe itself in milliseconds and then just power off.
Or, you know, just power off the system. If you are dealing with an attacker that is not allowed to torture the keys out of you, that is more than good enough.

Assuming SSDs, small bombs near the chips
>>
But why? Assuming it's not CP and just "normal" porn you're so embarrassed about, maybe you should just get rid of it and stop doing things that you're ashamed of. if you need to keep embarrassing secrets...just stop doing embarrassing things. You will feel better in every way if you can learn to live consistently with your own values.
>>
From Defcon a while ago. Unfortunately due to age they are mostly HDD focused but there are SSDs in the second video.

encrypt it, overwrite the keys if you need to get rid of the data, then shut down the machine

>You should be able to activate it remotely
If the FBI cuts your internet so the remote trigger no longer works... you want it to check some heartbeats and shutdown the encrypted system.
Then you need to bring decryption keys from some external location if you want the data back. Or just live with the system self-terminating every time you lose internet.
>>
If you're using a hard drive then just put it near a very strong magnet, instant data destruction 100%
>>
RAM storage drive and a smart power switch to remotely cut power to it.
