run some wiring around the RAM and NVME, then pump a lot of current through it when you need it destroyed. you might also want to add insulation around the RAM and NVME, but not too much because it needs cooling under normal operation.

simplest and fastest is to store only encrypted data permanently and have encryption headers/keys on removable storage. the can't be accessed unless booted with that device, and the destruction of the keys renders the data inaccessible

Just use the functions SSDs provide to wipe themselves. Basically a minimal boot loader that executes them, that gets selected as boot target in NVRAM. So you reboot into that cursed system and all your data is gone.Otherwise use LUKS and just wipe the decryption table. A live system can wipe itself in milliseconds and then just power off.Or, you know, just power off the system. If you are dealing with an attacker that is not allowed to torture the keys out of you, that is more than good enough.
