To study what scientific studies have to say. Nowadays that's one of the most important parts of science because there's such a massive amount of papers being published every day that the important thing is actually knowing what they say rather than making your own.
For example: Let's say I need to develop a new hydroponics system.
With RAG I can pull all the nutrient formulations, temperature ranges and humidity readings of every study my crawler has access to and distill the results.
I'm not telling the bot to replace a human researcher I'm telling it to help me find out what human research says on a topic.

But frankly I don't trust AI recipes. It's the kind of thing ai is bad at unless you put the effort in to establish an effective context(weigh that against scrolling past the SEO shit). An LLM will happily synthesize multiple incompatible recipes, giving you something that looks good but in fact the ingredient ratios are all wrong.
