When the fuck are they going to invent directional audio for phones?
>>109330584directional speakers need to move more air than regular speakers.that is achieved either by having a larger membrane surface, or increasing the membrane vibration amplitude.the later is what all phones do, because they're space limited. the problem is that you get huge distortion and very low yields because oscillating at higher amplitudes requires more energy (per db created), while also making the membrane have more inertia (hence the distortion).we already have 'directional' sound. for instance high frequencies/ultrasound are directional by nature. but for bass/mediums it's extremely difficult.the solution that's been found is to only emit in the ultrasound, then when the sound bounce off a surface, the reflected wave interferes with the incoming wave, and these interference are the audible frequencies you hear. because ultrasound naturally travel in a straight line, you can achieve directional sound in all frequencies. that is in theory, because in practice all of these systems have low yields and high distortions.
>>109330623This guy's kinda retarded, but he's on the right track. The closest technology we have to a "directional" speaker is a phased array. Basically a bunch of tiny speakers in a grid, which work together so that they constructively interfere along a narrow beam, and destructively interfere everywhere else. They're not perfect, and you do get some noise in all other directions too, but the main reason they're not widely used is that they're big, expensive, and complicated to implement, for very little practical benefit under most circumstances.
>>109330584Only third worlders concern themselves with speakers. First worlders use their gold plated copper wire headphones for that. Meaning, you are a third worlder, OP.
They should make 3D audio like they have 3D screensWhy aren't there any 3D phones?
>>109330584say directional speakers available on phone, then how do you hear phone's ring, phone's notification, etc.?
>>109331395You know damn well Brownoids play loud TikTokslop on public transport in every Western country.
Zoomers clearly don't give a fuck about annoying other people with they mindless chatter
>>109330584They already did. It's called a tweeter.
>>109330584Phone-sized aperture too small realtive to sound wavelength to form a decent beam or whatever other shape you want.
>>109330584Existed as long as bluetooth and headphone jacks. Connect phone to a real sound system to hear what music actually sounds like.
>>109331511>3D audioHave you never heard of 5.1 surround sound? The band Yes even released an album specifically mixed for 5.1.
>>109331559with a brainchip of course
>>109330584>this guy wants to bring back "ur holding it wrong" part deux
