>>109336173There is a genuinely good argument this is because mathematicians have a bias towards proving instead of disproving famous conjectures (“if it were that easy someone must’ve spotted it by now”) so they never looked at such simple ideas, but I think the AI guys are really more interested in humiliation than contribution to the field.
