It depends on the group, as a general rule of thumb scene tries to get releases out the fastest and p2p tries to get the best quality. There are many exceptions if you care about quality, ideally you do your own comparisons or pixel counters have already done the comparisons for you. The cabal trackers generally have a lot of comparisons, as well as BHD.
For that show though I'm pretty sure NTb does have the best releases.

i was just throwing it into the default ffmpeg 265 settings, for a collection your size it's probably not worth it. this was basically crypto mining on my cpu, had 10 cores maxed out at 5.2ghz for probably 2 months straight.
some people will swear there's noticable quality loss, i didn't see any.
the only real problem 265 has is some specific reds it doesn't play well with but if you're not comparing images and looking for it, you're not going to see any problems.

How does old content stay alive on usenet? I have torrents on private trackers I uploaded nearly 20 years ago that are still going strong. Even high retention providers would delete the content by that point on usenet.
