So many distros now default to it, Valve pumped a lot of money into it, they support more wayland protocols than Gnome and they have fewer retardations like "hurr durr no the application can't steal focus, here's a fucking notification you can click that puts the application in the foreground" (thank god for Grand Theft Focus). So I thought it HAD to be good.

But holy fucking shit, KDE SUCKS. The only reason anyone uses this is Windows baby duckism. It looks so fucking ugly, everything is broken, from subtly to unbearably and you get multiple "this and that program have stopped working, do you want to submit a bug report" notifications every day. The window manager kwin itself shat itself on every boot on a fresh Kubuntu install. What were they thinking?

I don't really get how everyone is constantly crashing on KDE. I'm not gonna say I've never encountered a bug or two, but it's nowhere near as bad as it is being described where it crashes every few minutes and you can't even use spectacle or anything.
The only time I had trouble with spectacle was when I used nvidia graphics card and it couldn't record video anymore.
