It turns out that the Turbo model demolishes style, and Raw model isn't very good on its own to get rid of slop. Krea is just very good at copying specific styles that it sees during i2i, and since the starting image has mostly a very coherent background and de-slopped skin, it picks it up into its output image (and the inverse can happen on the rare cases that Chroma has a less coherent background or skin, but higher denoise gives much control over it).
