>pre llms: spend most of your time reviewing your own code and that of others
>post llms: spend most of your time reviewing your own code, that of others and whatever ai generated
essentially nothing has changed apart from the PRs getting bigger

What is true coding?
I don't think googling is considered true coding neither is buying a book.

yeah there are literally a lot of people in /vcg/ who are corporate programmers being made to use AI

do you think those people are all paying $200 a month themselves? LOL

I'm a senior engineer and haven't written a single LoC since january
I barely even review it anymore, the newer models just get it
>>
This whole meme is just a giant self-report that the “work” supposed software “engineers” have been doing is largely useless adult daycare stuff.

If true coding means making sloppy react.js web apps then yes, they took away that from us.

overall coding is dead.

same. code is cheap and useless.

Reply all in caps when it does something stupid is missing
>>

the PRs are now getting so large that I think many people are giving up on seriously reviewing them, essentially relinquishing all control to the machine
I'm fairly sure that if programmers become outdated and unnecessary, "prompt engineers" will follow right behind
