Vibecoders not welcome.
>>
>proposal
are they gonna fork the kernel too
>>
linux turned out to be a political movement based on software that regular working class coders wrote years ago. it went to shit and it will only get worse with time. there is literaly nothing wrong with ai generated code, you can still make it minimal, clean, optimal or whatever you want... idiots

I want a Kimi-made ReactOS fork that implements all the major things that are missing. Though I can't afford Kimi (let alone Fabel), maybe I'll give it a try with DeepSeek V4 later.
>>
how would that work with canonical upstreaming so much
>>
>>109362516
Even the way you write demonstrates how lazy and brown you are.
>>
>>109362551
just you wait and see
>>
>>109362428
I would agree for shit ode entirely generated by AI that noone reviewed, because it's always very badly optimized and very often have stupid bugs. But "LLM assisted" sounds more like the guy wrote the code by himself and just asked the AI to check or something, which I'm perfectly ok with. This is how AI must be used, as tools, which they are good at, not as total replacement of the human, which they are not good enough at.
>>
>>109362457
Doesn't include upstream projects. So no, they are not forking anything and will still include AI garbage in their packages.

There is no way to tell if the ai code is a 1:1 generation of copyrighted code. All is takes is one good lawsuit and it's goodbye debian.

AIdiots don't at me. The US copyright system is bonkers. Bill Gates and the other tech oligarchs are foaming at the mouth to eliminate/limit open source.
>>
>>109362428
I doubt vibecoders cared about Debian in the first place since it's developed by boomers stuck in mailing list era and serves only as a base for other distros.
>>
>>109362516
Linux was always political no matter how much linus tries to deny and so is the entire FOSS movement
>>
>>109362428
DEBIAN WON

You're brown.
>>
>>109362428
this is a retarded proposal.

ai assistance works so just use it. unassisted ai doesn't work well so just don't do unassisted ai in most instances, you have to verify and correct as-needed.
>>
>>109362516
Cool story, bro. Linux is just a colonel, and he explicitly approves of LLM contributions.
>>
>>109362428
>@riseup.net
So a lunatic anti-AI leftie.
>>
>>109362662
Ah, so it's just for ass pats then.

Not my problem
>>
>>109362428
Okay, whatever if distros want to "force project" that they are ran by mentally and emotionally unstable people, then it's all good by my book, I will continue be using Windows on my desktop and run Linux on devices that are public on the internet.
They will just lose the argument and kill the project ian had put his time in before he took his life.
Anyways, Lefties (>>109362967) are retarded, they are standing behind the copyleft not knowing that the copyright system and IP are pushed by capital because the control of distribution is a form of capital.

you should simply post the link somewhere in OP
https://www.debian.org/vote/2026/vote_002

You and I might be able to, they just aren't. That's exactly their problem and why they seethe so much.
>>
>matthias geiger
who? why should I care what he says?

>>109362428
>be me
>want to contribute to open-sores
>know I don't want to push slop out there so I just start with maintenance work
>let AI analyze the repository and tell it to just tell me if there are any security vulnerabilities in libraries used
>there's a bunch
>I list them out in descending order from highest impact to smallest impact
>take first 3 (with CVSS scores above 9)
>just open up an issue on github about needing to update to solve 4 year old vulnerabilities
>the idiotic maintainers start bitching:
>"oh you just used AI"
>"this isn't really an issue because I don't even use it so it isn't a big deal"
>"there is no public exploit for this vulnerability, so it is purely theoretical and nobody will exploit it"
>get so angry I decide to make the exploit for the vulnerability
>to make the revenge sweeter I decide to use AI to recreate the exploit from CVE description
>AI pipeline literally just downloaded the vulnerable version of the code, found the snippet of code that is vulnerable, recreated the exploit from CVE description, tested it out in virtual machine to verify
>all while I just went out for lunch
>come back few days later to the maintainers and tell them that since exploit for the 4 year vulnerability wasn't publically available they decided to not update so I made it public
>"you're so weird for that omg O_o"

Mind you these are the idiots that pride themselves on their PRs so much so they go back to their closed PRs a year later to say "happy anniversary to my PR" even though it was a one liner change they deliberated over for a month

Good, i thought the pajeeta was going to destroy debian but i guess not.

it's so obvious when people who've never spent any real time with modern harnesses try to talk about ai these days
linus was right and the usedchatgptoncein2023.png meme is accurate

True, this is what it will end happening. These all projects will end with the same old farts from decades ago and will not get any fresh blood in the next years.
Even worse if we consider that new programmers don't even like to join projects that use GPL-like licenses, like in the case of Debian.
>>

this never happened

true they should move to some stack corporate controlled solution like discord.

then they would be up to date with the world, and also fake and gay like everything else..

Reminder that racism is used to steer discourse. All the racist replies to this are paid or bots. Someone has a financial interest in pushing the “ai == racial inferiority” angle.

lmao at this delusions
you miggers tier niggers are so fucking retarded you can't even vibecose anything remotely useful and instead resort to making shit up
