You would think that Lisp would have to do with AI, but alas, I don't see anything happening on the Lisp world. I think lisp has died anons.
> symbolic generation btw
but really its just tokens and the transformer model.
Don't get me wrong, I love Lisp, I fell in love with Common Lisp, but Scheme is better, and Clojure is the grown-up version for us lisp "weenies".
Emacs is also ass.
We all know that neovim + lua (fennel) is the best choice.

Emacs need not be forgotten, just absorbed into neovim (yes I do use emacs bindings in my neovim and you can't sue me cause I'm anonymouse)

But what do you anons think, is Lain still worth worshipping? because we lisp niggas is irrelevant af nowadaways

>Lisp failed being synonymous with AI
The word "artificial intelligence" has lost all its meaning, maybe it never had any to begin with.
>I think lisp has died anons
Some of the ideas behind Lisps will never die they will just be proposed again in a worse format, take for example Python which takes a lot from Lisp but then has no tail recursion optimization.
>Scheme is better
>neovim + lua (fennel) is the best choice
Based taste.
Racket is the better Scheme btw.
>is Lain still worth worshipping? because we lisp niggas is irrelevant af nowadaways
Popularity is completely irrelevant unless you are interested in selling something to corporations (do you want Lisp to be like Java? why?), we currently live in the dark ages of computing, systems and languages have not truly advanced since decades and technology is completely controlled by corporations which have zero interest in real innovation so what do you expect of course in a culture like this something like Lisp is not adopted by the masses, doesn't mean it's not beautiful or interesting.

>artificial intelligence has lost all its meaning
reminds me of that quote by some famous CS guy, where he said the question isn't whether computers can think, but whether they can understand
its just all approximations of real consciousness, which can't be really replicated imo.

my current job is making anthropic models eat shit
surprise suprise current "AI" shits its ass when it comes to stuff like call/cc & meta programming
if the information is is in the structure of the tokens, not the tokens itself, then le epin mythos model will eat ass 4 free

>tail recursion optimization
and TO THIS DAY, languages still keep copying lisp
I do wonder if it can evolve though.
There has to be new ways of thinking with lisp.
I for one, will leverage lisp and the agent/harness model for loops that is arising.
Can't wait to get 96gb VRAM
lisp allows for construction of esoteric DSLs, there has never been a language more ready for generating systems dynamically

>Racket is the better Scheme btw
True, but why is Chicken so good though, is it because it can be compiled into an executable?
>inb4 CL's save-lisp-and-die
Although the REPL driven development is the standard in the lisp world

>do you want Lisp to be like Java?
Never, I want lisp to be a REAL fucking family of languages, not be beholden to latest whims and it be compromised/mutilated for globohomo

Even though I want everyone to use Lisp, I also understand that's a bad idea because normalfags always ruin everything.
It's the same reason why Linux should be more popular, but the adoption can't be forced, lest the language/OS evolves to normalfag needs, and not the other way around.
It would be like the eternal september.

Also, has anyone read PAIP fully?
