The whole point of Jellyfin, Emby and Plex is to provide media from a dedicated server to end-user devices via multiple apps. People want to play their own videos in their format using mobile apps and TVs, just as conveniently as using Netflix.

If people didn't want to leave the convenience of streaming platforms for owning their own media, then we would be solely consuming media by playing files from a computer terminal. People don't own computers simply for clicking on pirated videos so this folder organization thing is moot. This is obvious for all ages, maybe not if you live in eastern europe or the middle-east.

So why jellyfin?

I just use SMB + MPV + lower encoded video, if making long distance connection with high latency. I also, if the connection is high in latency, merely use a tool called uFTP to download my media via UDP.

I'm guessing that Ugoos is some sort of android powered ARM chinkbox? What's its chipset and capability (ie is it new enough to have native support for x265 10bit and the like etc)? If the thing isn't strong enough on its own to be able to decode quickly etc.. thenthat's why you need stuff like Jellyfin to transcode and do the heavy lifting.
