Yes actually.My industry as a whole will be safe, because the work is physical, highly dexterous, and requires emergent thinking rather than really, really fast pattern recognition, which is what AI is good at.But I'm not in that part of the industry. I'm in the parts warehouse, cataloguing and organizing small items by barcode. An articulated arm on wheels running ChatGPT can do my job. As soon as the Amazon distribution center tech trickles down to our small business warehouses, I become redundant, or at best a babysitter who just verifies what the machine picks and pulls while I play Palworld in my little goybooth.
