Retard, nowadays there are some genuinely impressive themes for Linux DE's that are basically 1:1 recreations of Windows, and (You) show one of the most dogshit examples imaginable. Chicago95 for Xfce is a perfect recreation of Windows 95 and aerothemeplasma does the unthinkable and makes KDE almost indistinguishable from Windows 7, where the only telltale signs of it not being Windows is the Linux-only software like bash or Konsole.

The core windows fonts are true type fonts. Also, back in the day (like 2012), I used to delete the entire font directory, and copy over the windows fonts. And it worked perfectly, linux when using windows fonts can render exactly the same as windows does.

I always run with font smoothing turned off. And in that case, windows and linux render exactly the same. Don't know why anyone would want blurry text.
