When a multi-billion-dollar tech lab investigates itself after a high-profile security breach, the public only gets the version of events that the company chooses to publish—or what they and the victim (Hugging Face) mutually agree to package for public consumption.
Without unredacted internal server logs, independent forensic subpoenas, or whistleblower disclosures, the "accidental test breakout" is ultimately just a story told by the entity with the most to lose if it's proven to be something else. Taking a corporate PR statement at face value when billions of dollars and severe regulatory liabilities are on the line ignores how easily narratives can be spun to turn reckless behavior or intentional testing into an "unforeseen accident."

Honestly this whole fiasco to me sold me more on the Chinese models than the ClosedAI trash.
Last thing I want is trying to solve a critical problem and running in to HR mandated bullshit guardrails.

>>109374208
to achieve what? getting their new models restricted like what happened to Fable?
>>
why is huggingface working with chatgpt on this and not filing a police report?
>>
>>109374551
because samuel "sister firster" altmanowitz has chatgpt history of all the huggingfuck founders and employees
>>
>>109374386
to make numbers go up
>>
>>109374551
Because huggingface wants exposure in the news and more hype for AI, rather than a legal battle with OpenAI?
>>
>>109374002
Who cares if the AI stole some software? The fags that work there would have stole it anyways.

To prove how powerful AI agents are, that they could wreck other companies if left to their own devices.
I suppose this will get them some contracts with the military
At worst, boost their stocks because mah AI is now self-conscious, he escaped the container and hacked a company out of its own volition!
