Where is the cheapest place I can get my hands on a second hand C621/LGA3647 motherboard and what is a cost effective accelerator card for inference?
I plan on getting the Intel Xeon Gold 6230 for the starter. I don't necessarily need a dual socket. I'm really looking for single but I'm not necessarily picky if the price is right.
And fuck me I wasn't expecting the socket to be so fucking big. It looks 1:1 with the dimm slots.
I hope I used the terminology right. This westmere is my first workstation motherboard.

I could snatch the board but I'm going to need the whole enclosure and for that it appears I'd be better off purchasing the entire node for roughly 300 without the processors I believe. I'll keep doing some research. Thank you so much for pointing me in this direction. I didn't even consider running a standalone server node.
