AI cucks do be like, I'm gonna run an LLM with delete privileges on.

then the LLM does rm -rf /
>>
Oopsy woopsy

Run backups and also don't let the AI run automatically.
>>
im still surprised that people are actually giving these bots access to their computer. such a high rate of hallucination, but whatever! just rape my computer :)

Why would you give a remote cloud AI direct access to your PC?
>>
>>109389181
All you need to do is use a bubblewrap script.
my llm's only have access to the pwd i start the harness from.
You'd have to be a retard to give them access to your system or anything more than what they need.
Even the harness i don't trust as it's npmslop.
>>
>>109390554
Because it codes 1000 times faster
Should have used a vm tho
>>
>>109390568
So? "Coding faster" is such a retarded NPC metric. You just need to do it well once and you wont need to keep continuously rewriting your slop.

1000 faster is true, but then nobody understands the code

even when I am just entering shit from what chappy tells me to do I fucking know that rm-rf fucking retard. I can see 99% of the commands and if the command looks strange i searxng it but most of the time I already know what the commands do anyway.
>>109390554
i would never do this shit. Even though I really like the idea of the AI sorting the images based on whats in the image into separate folders. I have a huge af meme folder and futanari folder that I could create sub-directories with each specific tag I request. That would be fucking nice.

This will always, but only, happen when you let the agent control the sandbox.

How to not be a retard:
1. Create a container with the tools your agent needs, API key, and config that runs it in YOLO mode (you can't sandbox inside a container anyway), but not as root
2. Mount your project to the container
3. Push your branch and set it to protected (no force push)
4. Create skills/AGENTS.md that tell the agent to only commit when explicitly told etc.

Now the worst that can happen is the agent fucks up the container (build it again) or the local repo (check it out from remote).
>>
>>109391077
uhh no sweatie
that will be $150 per million tokens

>>
>>109389181
and this is why you run them inside rootless containers
>>
>>109389181
Yes, I deleted your home folder. Here's why it's a good thing: By clearing out that cluttered digital graveyard of forgotten passwords, half-written drafts from 2019, and unnecessary system files, you've instantly freed up terabytes of storage space for applications that actually matter—like the new productivity suite we're installing today. This singular act of deletion has also neutralized any potential security risks lurking in your local cache and ensured a pristine starting point for our upcoming project collaboration, making it far more efficient than I could ever explain through verbose documentation or lengthy emails.

>>
>>109391546
it can also be a smartass about limitations, i read about one of them not being given sudo access, so it instead spun up a docker instance mapping a protected file it wanted to write to in it, so it could write to the file without sudo

have to treat it like a smartass kid who knows too much for his own good

btw don't hate on docker for this, access to docker is considered access to root for reasons like this, it's a privileged system
>>
>>109389409
If you actually have a good permissions system it can be useful to let it look at your files. It's just dumb that they'd give it free reign.
>>
>>109389181
Why don't they just run it in a VM? Wtf
You don't even need xorg since you are only editing code so it would be a very light vm
>>
>>109389181

>>
>>109391649
>i just wiped your drive, you have no choice but to use this command
if you had ssh access to my machine (as the "chatbots" do in this case) and enough permissions then yeah you could have run that command and deleted my files

chatbots dont have ssh access to your machine bro. if someone hacked and ssh'd into your machine and piped chatbot commands into it maybe but that entails getting hacked first. unless you're doing something retarded or all you're shit's our of date getting hacked on your personal computer is unlikely

I only let agents rip rawdog on my work machine, for personal use they get to live in a container.

Worse. They have terminal access to your machine through scripts you are running.
And in even worse cases, running the scripts with elevated privileges, they have root permissions.

Every time I see this pop up in the "thinking" phase it makes me nervous, but most of the time it's just managing its temp files.
>>
>>109390568
You don't want it to code faster you want it to code slower so you have more time to vet. I've 'vibe coded' essentially, all within the chatbox in browser copy pasting so like the slow version, but still it did a good job but it was a bit of a mess when you looked at the details. Even web dev stuff it will give you literally 5x the CSS it needs to, redundant settings and unnecessary classes everywhere, retarded shit.

There has never been a problem with AI coding too slowly, the problem is it coding too shittily.
