Arch for desktop, optionally enable Cachyos repos for free performance.Debian for servers and workstations and "it just needs to work" systems.Alpine for containers, kiosks, thin clients, and single purpose systems.All of these can run containers or virtual machines for "distro specific" software packages as needed. Flatpak and Appimage are also viable options if needed, avoid AUR if you're too lazy to read package builds.

the idea that we need 6 month old version of packages in 2026 is retarded I'm sorry, things are ever changing so fast and you need to keep up. arch has so many great package maintainers that are able to test and push updates extremely fast. updating arch every few days is a lot less of a hassle than updating major version updates in debian or other 'stable' distros, arch is honestly more stable than most distros
