I thought the stories of zoomers using wired headphones meant it's back but they're all using USB-C headphones
>>
>>109400836
it gone unc ion no cuh who use dat we use wifi pods now
>>
>>109400836
Lol. How were they going to go back to 3.5mm jack when their phones don't have one?
>>
>>109400836
Why haven't they switched over to 2.5 mm jack?
>>
>>109400847
usb-c to jack unc
>>
>>109400836
I thought I wanted this but then I bought a dongle and I realized at least for jogging I'd rather have 5% worse sound quality with bluetooth earbuds than constantly worry about a dangling wire
>>
Really? I'm a millennial and I prefer wireless earbuds...
>>
>>109400916
enjoy ur brain tumors
>>
>>109400836
>noo, I won't use $30 USB-C DAC which would be better than any shitty DAC they were putting even in flagship phones
ok lol
>>
>>109400836
Cheap Motorola phones might still have it.
>>
>>109400836
No. Just get an Apple USB C dongle and use it on your iPhone. Sounds really good.
>>
>>109400836
I'd rather have 2 USBC ports desu

>no faggy notch
>no faggy mass of dead pixels
>SD card support
>3.5mm Jack
>stock android
the experia 1 viii is the /g/ phone. literally everything else is objectively worse.
>>
>>109400836
>USB-C headphones
huh? I use bluetooth
>>
>>109400847
I have a second phone with built in DAC and 3.5mm jack
>>
Don't be poor and buy DAP
>>
>>109400836
both my old budget phone and snoy phone have one
>>
>>109400916
the wire isn't the problem it is the connection point. Apple et all seem to deliberately design these to be difficult to connect a wire to.
>>
>>109400916
>I'd rather have 5% worse sound quality
More like 80% worse
>>
>>109401380
>the experia 1 viii is the /g/ phone
I need muh GrapheneOS tho
>>
>>109402794
No you don't.
>>
>>109402838
Yes I do
>>
>muh earpods
yeah, no, sorry, i prefer having headphones that don't constantly try to call numbers or lock my phone every time i try to adjust them.
>>
>>109401380
>bad QA
>3 years software support, then what ...
>breakes before end of support anyways
Shitty build qualit
Typical sony phones

My new Xperia has a 3.5mm
My MIAD has a 3.5mm and 4.4mm jacks

nigga nobody care
>>
>>109400836
the sony xperia I bought last year still has one. No 3.5 no buy
>>
>>109402739
not if you compensate for the sound the wire itself makes

My POCO F5 has a very functional headphone jack
>>
>>109403666
>>109403072
Completely incapable of naming a better phone.
I accept your concessions. Easiest win of my life.
>>
>>109400853
That's what OP said, retard.
>>109400836
I actually went fully type c, with a DAC directly in the cable, but the road to it was bumpy. If you're using it outside the plug quickly loosens and starts losing audio from any tiny bump. Happens in less than a year. I solved it with magnetic adapters.
>>
>>109403019
you can turn that off
>>
>>109405340
I already did >>109404688
>>
>>109405361
Objectively worse in every single metric. Again, easiest win of my life.
>>
I hate tech jews removing features as much as the next guy but listening to music from a phone is the most ghetto shit ever.
Get a dedicated player.
>>
>>109405585
your shit phone doesn't even have a removable battery, cope harder
>>
>>109405788
It's not 2005 anymore gramps
>>
>>109405821
Yeah, phones are bigger, heavier and used for more things than ever. Hence the more reason to get a proper small factor player.
>>
>>109405828
phones do a better job at playing music, your relic belongs in the trash
>>
>>109405849
You have no idea what you're talking about.
>>
>>109405871
>projects
>>
>>109401380
Yeah I wanted to buy the Xperia 10 VII especially since the teal look reminded me of my old nokia lumia 800. But I heard it had issues and I'm not paying that much for a phone.

But on hindsight it may be better than whatever garbage Samsung is releasing nowadays.
>>
>>109406106
i have it and i;m open to questions
what sucks about it is the small screen for me. if they made it 6.3 it would have been ideal for me
>>
>>109406171
there are like a billion 6.3 phones and you pick the only overpriced one
I miss the narrow design sonys, wanted a 5 V for a while but by the time I needed a new phone it was too dated
>>
>everyone want big multi camera module
>everyone want big battery
Blame your average consumer
>>
>>109401380
>experia 1 viii
>almost a 6.5" screen size
miss me with that, why can't companies make a small phone
>>
>>109400836
The on board dac that came with phones were terrible anyways. Even if my phone had a 3.5mm port I would still use a usb-c dac.
>>
>>109400959
>>109407825
DACs are a solved technology.
Your FLAC has what sample rate? 44.1 kHz?
Just think about how low this frequency is, compared to what current tech can do. The cheapest possible hardware can easily cover a ten times higher range than your ear can hear.

Audiophiles talking about cable spacers are more reasonable than the "the DAC in my dongle surely is higher quality than what would be built in" copers.

"DACs are a solved technology" niggas when you remind them you don't plug headphones into a DAC.
>>
>>109406258
not sure overprice, i got it for like 300 dollars i think
i tried the narrow one
it was awful, only the 1 series worked as narrow screens

a billion of those 6.3 are chinese. i wanted something else
