Lol my original home server was my ancient 6300+970 from like 2011 or 12 or whatever. Idled at 100w and hit over 200w under load (computer only, no drives) but did everything I needed.

>>109407219Absolutely insane these two competed price for price at about $120 and the 6300 was 85% better in multithreaded shit, while the single core was about 15% worse on the 6300, but it was a hell of a fucking chip for the money, I think FX smacked around Intel's low end harder than Ryzen did, it's just ryzen is such an upset because they took the mid range, and competed with Intel in the high end segment, so that's why FX will never get any appreciation, but what a time for budget computer builds in the early 2010s.
