What web browser does /g/ use and why?
Brave Origin because it does everything I want to. I still will be switching to Orion because I like the native gtk UI.
>>109402290FaggotFox Nightly
>>109402290gnome web
>>109402329How are you enjoying the Firefox Nova padding everywhere? And Compact Mode being bigger than regular Firefox.
>>109402290QutebrowserDisable JS, CSS, and cookies whenever and however you want. Fully extendable via Python. Write or vibe-code your own extensions (I've tried both, works great!). Only bad thing is the adblock and no easily downloadable extensions (or if you find anything it will be a small and readable script).>>109402320Maybe, if it was open source. Even if it was, have fun trying to audit, patch bugs, or independently maintain such code.>>109402333Gnome web fits in nice with gnome but IIRC there's no way to easily manage cookies, and turn off features (CSS, JS, cookies, etc).
>>109402356I'm joking lol. Firefox is garbage.
I just use whatever comes pre installed. I don't like pozzing my device
>>109402290Orion, WebKit with firefox and chrome extension compatibility
>>109402448So just Firefox and Edge huh
>>109402290>PCFireFox, Brave, Librewolf>MobileIronFox, Vanadium, Brave
Firefox with brave as backup.
I tried to hang on to Firefox as long as possible , even using the Waterfox fork for a while to hang on to XUL for a while, but eventually Gecko and the whole Mozilla ecosystem enshittified so much I tried Edge and Vivaldi, settling on the latter.I'm a long term internet user, I knew Firefox before it was even Phoenix. I don't see Mozilla lasting into the 2030s. Once it drops Windows 7 support it's over.
>>109402492Yeah. Gecko sucks ass.
>>109402290Brave, because it makes homosexuals seethe.I paid for origin btw.

Librewolf/Firefox because containers are crackNo, Brave """containers""" don't count
>>109403732>makes homosexuals seetheLol why
>>109404043Because homos fucking despise Brave's CEO Brendan Eich. They chased him out of Mozilla for being homophobic. https://www.reddit.com/r/lgbt/comments/1e1ej3i/reminder_dont_use_the_brave_browser/

Zen Browser, I like eye candy :)
>>109402290Firefox because I'm boring.Also chrome for teams.
>>109402290Switched to Firefox today. The new Chrome update was horrendous - massive CPU resource hog even though I have a powerful PC.On mobile I use Brave.
>>109402290Why does no one ever say Vivaldi? :'(
waterfox. shit's cash
>>109402290Firefox went back to X so I switched to iceraven and waterfox for now.
I'm (vibe)coding my own. Currently implementing iframesI get why there's so few browser engines on the market... insane waste of time and energy
