Any opinion on AN0M?Should i get it?They say its the most secure phone OS in existence, and they surely wouldnt lie.

>>109408005>CPCNice try, chang.
>>109408005I don't get why they're so adamant on developing JUST for pixels, ok, unlocked bootloaders, I get it, but google pixels are not the only phones with this feature, incompetent programmers hiding behind big words and sperging out when exposed, eager for the day when coding agents are capable enough to write operating systems
>>109408259>unlocked bootloadersThe point is that they can then relock the bootloaders. This isn't a given on other android phones.

>>109408005ANØM demanded blind trust.>closed source>secret developers>no public verification>no way to audit the softwareIt turned out to be an FBI honeypot.GrapheneOS is the opposite.>open source>public development>reproducible builds>security researchers can inspect the code and verify releasesThe difference is that ANØM required faith. GrapheneOS provides evidence.
>>109408092>gov makes something you do regularly illegalSo what now, you commit the crime or stop doing it?You are either golden retriever levels of boring/harmless or you haven't been around long enough for the government to ruin what you love out of spite. Either way reddit.com seems more your speed.
>>109408005>anom>just send your messages through our super secret app bro>just trust us broBikie gangs aren't known for their intelligence so not surprising really.>graphene>use whatever app you want bro. No we don't offer a super secret text app get your ownNot the same is it retard?
>>109414121>>109410291isn't everyone in the Grapehene cult telling you to use Singal, which got literally developed by the CIA?
>>109408619>relock the bootloadersWhat benefit does that provide?A ROM that's signed by either Google or Micay can still be flashed on it without the phone getting wiped. Otherwise updates wouldn't work.Whats the worth of a lock if Google (so by extension all feds) and some untrustworthy dude hold the keys?
>>109414211You can only update to a build that has been signed with the same keys as your installed OS. So google can't update an OS that isn't signed by them. (Like GrapheneOS)Opsec of GrapheneOS is pretty good, so I doubt feds could get their hands on the signing keys without the whole world knowing.
>>109414211>What benefit does that provide? No evil-maid attacks, in fact lots of other hardware attacks are mitigated by this. >A ROM that's signed by either Google or Micay can still be flashed on it without the phone getting wipedOnly while the phone is running and through the compromise of the sources. In Google's case GOS would also need to wave it through, which isn't happening.
>not open source>open source
why does this make them seethe so hard
>>109408081>FBI makes false promises of security, wastes peoples money, backdoors their hardware, and steals their dataEveryone in the FBI should be in prison.
>>109417293Yeah bro it was totally unfair how they tricked all those cartels and drug dealers. Lying is wrong and if dishonesty is the price we have to pay to put sex traffickers in jail then maybe they should just be free. Two wrongs don't make a right!
>>109408005Governments hate graphene so it's probably good enough. I'd prefer a Linux phone though
>>109417353Go work for Palantir if you're that retarded
Isn't it weird how we have at least 1 thread 24/7 calling GrapheneOS a honeypot? Or am I just imagining things?
>>109414175Tor was developed by multiple agencies also, but it doesn't mean they can even use it because it is open source. They just created it. Also people can recommend whatever they like. Signal needs phone number. Everybody can read that and not use the app. You don't have to use everything that is bad just because other people say so. I don't use GrapheneOS because somebody says it is good. I use it because I can check it and see that it is good.If somebody says that SystemD is bad but they say Gnome is good, it doesn't mean I have to use Gnome or that SystemD is actually good..
