I made a programming video on my channel and I want /g/ to rate it. Pretty please?
Any constructive feedback is appreciated.

i think the first thing is to tweak your audio in audacity, or just speak clearer into the mic ig
the font / editor is a decent size and contrast
the thumbnail could be more punchy and "hare command line utility" doesnt inspire much confidence or is very descriptive
i was also gonna say to split it up into parts but lol its already in parts, you generally wanna aim for parts of 20 mins and then make a big playlist of all the parts. its also good if each part has a central "focus" or "step" in making the program
ill also say your explanation can be a bit tedious, like yea i know i can name the variables whatever you want

You need better audio

You should also work on your oratory. Your voice sounds tight, squeaky, like you're hiding. You're putting a video out on the internet, speak boldly!
>>
Can you add Fortnite gameplay to the bottom half and speak louder next time. Also I found out Hare has literally 12 maintainers. Are you a Troon OP?

I boycott everything hare related because the resident hare shill is so annoying and persistent. Sorry

The last hare thread was over a week ago, retard. Meanwhile Rust threads are every day, multiple times
>>
>>109419371
the hare guy is one sperg, while rust bait thread look to me like they come from a group of people, often even organically.
>The last hare thread was over a week ago
I can't tell, I started building aggressive filters in the past were these threads were created daily

Hare is garbage and drew is clinically retarded.
If only drew would at least fucking put on a trip. I support anyone building languages (or building actual things) even if I strongly disagree with him on actual technical grounds. Anyway, your video is kinda shit. First, it's about a shitlang. Second, your voice is too gay. Your time management is trash. For example the first 5 minutes could have been told in 30s max. The same applies to basically everything, in the end a 5-10m video would have covered the entire >1h content.
>>
Hare should not exist.

>>109423092
why?
>>
>>109423206
It's more like an ego project than a real thing. Think about this:
>no OOP
>no generics
>ugly error handling
>manual memory management
Why would you use it over C when C has a better ecosystem a better compilers? It's basically a C skin.

>>ugly error handling
It is actually better than both zig and rust. it is actually the best I have seen.
Rust has the problem that you cannot have a function that returns two kinds of errors easily. Even with anyhow crate, what if you have to match which error occured and act differently?
Well in hare you just do
(result | err1 | err2)

and it literally just works. it auto-coerces too.
Zig can't even store data in it's errors, it is just a flag.
So hare is better than both. It has the best error handling out of all c-like languages.
>>
>>109423279
It still using pattern matching, so it's ugly
>>
>>109423225
This. But drew will never take it. Also drew wants to add fucking borrow checking to hare... lmao.

Of all the things you could complain about, you're taking the one thing that makes him /one of us/

Where do you zoomer invaders come from anyway? Back in my days, it was techloli/g/ and we loved that you normalniggers couldn't stand it.
