Yeah I'd say the Linux kernel has been steadily improving over time. So many wonderful new APIs

Chrome has had this feature for ages but I never used it. I just manually used the snipping tool every time because i have a keyboard shortcut set up and it's barely any slower or worse than using the browser feature.

I use scrot for this purpose
scrot -a '67,420,1920,1080,' '/home/jimmy/Pictures/Screenshot_%s_%F.png'

Nothing ever gets better. Everything always gets worse over time.

That was a feature? I've been using an extension to do it on YouTube forever.

It's basically a rebranded site screenshot button.
Addons rip frame at best source resolution and quality so they are always better.

Literally just do SHIFT + RMB and Firefox shows hidden options on 99% of sites, and SS Current Video Frame is available to me on v153.
Or literally just use whatever SS tool comes with your OS, SHIFT + WIN + S will let you snap a SS on W10/11.
