The current internet is already in near dead condition but somehow there are some good old forums, individual websites and blogs left, piracy and torrenting is still kept alive, you can still download freely old media would it be music, movies, videogames, literature, scientific works, manuals, programs, operating system but I'm afraid that one day they will totally take control of the entire internet and erase everything, remove anonymity, adblockers, even the ability to highlight and copy text not to mention any type of media element you can interract with not to mention that they're doing everything to take away hardware ownership (physical media, diy friendly hardware).
