Because its not even the time desu, its the loss of time. If a site wants to prevent DoSing by forcing 5-10mins or logins and crapchas, then cool, but id rather push a button, 360 walk away, and come back later when its solved. This whole site is very badly designed. I kind of thought when they started mass banning all IPs to force emails verification, the email verification pipeline wouldve been made nicer to carrot and stick people, but its really bad vs much worse. Nobody objects to reasonable anti-abuse measures; the problem is forcing legitimate users through a CAPTCHA–email–login obstacle course every time they attempt a basic action. Automating the entire process with an AI browser is honestly the rational response—push one button, reclaim your time, and let the machines negotiate with the machines. The fact that users need automation just to tolerate the site should tell the developers everything, assuming they are capable of learning.
