Considering myself very fortunate. Even when I got into cybersec 7 years ago it was "you need 5 years security experience to get an entry-level security job." Now it's even worse. It was all about who I knew back then to get in. There was no other foreseeable way.

The tech industry meta right now is about abuses internships, and AI is making it even worse. Interns are often usually to do the work of full time employees. When I was still working in IT, we had an intern who was expected to be just as responsible as other full time worker
