Yeah just build a cleanroom in the backyard and make the ram on your own.

That's an idiotic clickbait video. No, you wont be able to build anything that's even as good as a 1 cent microcontroller, not even with the cleanest of clean rooms, now fuck off.
>>
thre fuck is a cleanroom? a room where you store cleaning stuff lol

We need diy ram

This is what TSMC actually looks like by the way.
We wouldn't be having a memory shortage if TSMC could build these garden sheds quickly enough.

capitalism means zero fun allowed.
>>

this is it.
everytime you want to do something fun, some npc drone will inevitably point out that it doesn't make money.

i think the problem is the attitude. nothing wrong with capitalism on a fundamental scale but it does have a lot of "bugs that will never get fixed" because "its not a bug, its a feature"

normal supply and demand and small business, ok.
but when you start to have monopolies whose main concern is how to stay a monopoly, then its a "bug". the company exploits the "bug" to the max to hack everyone else.

the problem is that society does not really want to become "memory safe" because living in such a society would make people kill themselves even more. so, some kind of middle ground is where societies usually end up at

Acshully even without a cleanroom you can do up to 24nm with a $100 self-built analog device e.g. via scratch nanolithography.

proof or guide?

Basic idea is like
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3212057/
or
https://sci-hub.ru/https://doi.org/10.1116/1.3077488

But you can use more 'everyday' designs like https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2468067223001116
or
https://dberard.com/home-built-stm/

I wish I had a shed like that just be cause it'd make pasting screen protectors 10000x easier with no risk of dust ending up under the protector

>you'll never be able to 3D print a gun

ok yeah so the actual answer is it won't work, he doesn't have a clean room. That's my final answer.

herbs for that cause.

Nice, thanks. Saved.
So have you made anything?

Although I find this technique and the overall topic fascinating, my jam is biology and I made a small AFM prototype. However, the probe I used is too flexible and I'm working on finding an alternative component that might have better properties.

We can make this kind of ram.
