O Debian, wherefore hast thou wandered from the path once so wisely trodden?

There was a time when thou wert the gentle keeper of forgotten machines,
a faithful companion to the modest and the weary.
Thy virtues were patience, restraint, and grace;
thou didst breathe life into aging vessels and grant them purpose
when others had already cast them aside.

But alas, the seasons have changed.
Thy appetite hath grown, thy halls have expanded,
and the humble machines that once flourished beneath thy care
now struggle beneath the weight of thy ambition.
The memory that once sufficed hath become but a candle before a rising sun,
and many faithful companions find themselves left behind.

Was this the fate written upon thy scrolls?
That the guardian of efficiency should one day pursue grandeur?
That the champion of the modest should forget the very machines
that carried its name through the years?

A gentler road stood before thee:
a measured climb, a careful step, a bridge between the old and the new.
Yet the river hath carried thee onward, and those upon the shore
can only watch as the Debian they loved drifts beyond their reach.

Still, we remember thy former glory.
For thou wert once a rare harmony of elegance and restraint,
a kingdom where even the smallest machine could find a home.

Fare thee well, Debian of old.
May thy future shine among the powerful and new,
though those who cherished thy humble spirit
shall forever mourn the companion thou once wert.
