>>109432730https://suckless.org/
>>109432706I guarantee this frogposting retard uses vibe coded electron apps
>>109432762The only electron app i use is a discord fork called vesktop, your suckless stuff still sucks
>>109432706Less as in fewer not less as in without
>>109432804Should’ve named it suckmore then because this shit is garbage and worse than anything out there
>>109432787>trooncordLike clockwork
in order to make something suck less you have to make something else suck more, but you can make everything suck without making anything not suck
>>109432706It basically a software cult where you complete the half-assed work of some douchebag devs.
>>109432944tbf, though, I bet most of suckless stuff was a great idea when it was new. It just didn't age very well.
>>109432706It's been a while, do they still unironically recommend Plan9 and Acme?
>>109433305we use Go and buttplugs now, xir
>>109432706>it fucking sucksThey never said it doesn't suck. They just aim for it to suck *less* than many other options.

Feh is only good if Grok assigns it a good fehrc with keybindings like a normal image editor. Rofi is based and I've been using it since 2020 instinctively in muscle memoryZahura is ok when you memorize the key bindings, gg and G.Everything else I don't really wanna cast a value judgement. But I'll say ST is lousy and just go with Terminator and Surf can be more RAM then Firefox if it has multiple windows, but Dillo is fun for really simple web pages. Also check out minimalist tools made by this guy, xfile and ximaging are very usefulhttps://fastestcode.org/in previous post I mentioned these tools and I joked that it was made by Mental Outlaw, that was just a shitpost. Real credit goes to this guy. Though I'm sure Outlaw would approve
>>109433612yup! Commands like fd, rg and rga are totally for a new generation of Linux users that are publicly comfortable with discussing butthole comfort. grep, find and locate are for closeted FOSS users that show up in the emergency room lying to the ER that they slipped and something huge slide up their ass.
>>109434298does xfiles have sftp integration? i like using nautilus because of it
You don't have to use their official software, the idea is to have sustainable computing whereby you use smaller tools that you could fix and understand yourself, hence the requirement of editing the code to customize the software. It can be as simple as moving from using a huge email client, to getting your local Unix mail system integrated with your ISP or webmail provider, thus making it easier to use an older computer you might like. Etc. Not everybody is onboard with the old scan your face and take a photo of the qr code on the screen to pass cloudflare bandwagon.
