I thought Firefox was supposed to be more resource efficient than Chrome? I just migrated, imported the same tabs I have on Brave, installed part of, not even all the extensions I have on Brave and yet it uses more than double the ram?

>>109434140I'm finding similar results on linux. I was having performance issues with firefox stuttering so I installed brave to test. Turns out it wasn't really a firefox issue, my nvidia GPU was being lazy and refusing to leave the lowest power state unless I loaded up a game or something, and setting a minimum power state removed the stutter. But even without that setting brave is significantly smoother despite the VRAM clock sitting at just 405MHz. And it does seem to consistently use 25-50% less memory.Assuming the same holds true for other chromium browsers, it appears blink is simply superior to gecko.
