It seems like those two use libtorrent-rasterbar and both allow for libtorrent configs like high_performance_seed but rTorrent uses libtorrent-rakshasa (written by the author of rTorrent.) How do I determine whether a sub I might grab is translated from the Japanese audio as opposed to just the English dub's sub? I'm looking at subsource and see, from the same uploader, subs for dub and for Japanese both allegedly from retail bluray.

I give some kind of lecture about how the dat files/hashes are the real preservation work and as long as you have those you can assemble a romset. Well this proves it right? I started off using the dumbest, worst, obsolete, and weirdest sources. With those I have the majority of retail games from the lifespan of the console that anybody would want to play. After the combo of scene+Nintendo lot check from the gigaleak less than 200 things were patched in from the latest (ancient) goodset. Diminishing returns. Then at the end I used a no-intro set from this year that I could download and the hardest part was bringing it up to date.Actual real criticism I would give is current distribution being centered around Vimm's. It's a pain in the ass to deal with the site and glitches made downloading some of the roms a chore. I had to search by crc32 for some files, view the source of the page to actually find the correct file that isn't being shown, then assemble a curl command to satisfy their antileech. Not good. The community should be circulating updated sets.

>>109476520I collect those too. All of that material is important to preserve as well. Hence why I already had all those files on some hard drive I could use as a base to build my GBC romset. It can be a pain on the SNES and Genesis to deal with those old scene roms since they are split (to fill floppies) and headered but ucon64 is the go to tool.
