I know this phrase has been used as a meme, but I'm not joking when I tell you that you need to install Gentoo. Everything has gone to shit. Windows? Shit. Mac? Shit. Arch? Shit. Everything is shit except Gentoo. I read reports and articles about these dogshit operating systems and all I can think is, "I'm glad I installed Gentoo." Install Gentoo.

Honestly, as a daily driver, it's surprisingly usable. I've been driving it daily for about a year now, and once you set everything up, you can just do updates once a week overnight. Gentoo is super stable and has a surprisingly large, non-toxic community to go with it. Heck, even without binpackages, it's not too painful to drive daily (though they're useful for installing applications).
