About a decade ago I would setup my X230 like that whenever I came home from uni and plug in a USB keyboard; there was a noticeable drop in temps thanks to unimpeded air flow, the screen was now more even with my eye level, and it was a more efficient use of desk space since I could move the keyboard around for papers/textbooks. It's not the most useful feature but it's a nice bonus that doesn't sacrifice anything.

Good morning everyone,I posted in the last thread that I was looking for something to replace the Macbook air from 2015 that I carry in my bag. I got recommended a 6th gen X1 Carbon m. Unfortunately since it’s 14 inches it won’t fit in my bag. My computer is about 11 inches and fits snugly in my bag, so i was hoping to get something in that size? I don’t mind older computers since netbooks have fallen out of fashion. But anything that could run at least slightly better than my current machine and was a similar size would be nice. >>109446158The smallest thing I believe Lenovo makes is the 12.5 inch X series, so we're talking the X280 which would have similar processors to a Carbon Gen 6 but be a little smaller, but I don't think anything comes close to the 11 inch Macbook Air, it got to the point where Apple even discontinued the 11 inch Air after your 2015 model and sold the 13 for a bit before making that a retina and soldering the ssd like a bunch of dicks, but a thinkpad X280 is what we would recommend if you're looking for smol laptop
