Sorting by new's never coming back on youtube, is it?
Why did they remove such a useful feature?
>>
how am i supposed to find my fruit ai slop now

They're hiding how much slop is being uploaded.

Who tf still uses sloptube
>>
it's not like it matters because searching for anything doesn't search for the search terms at all but brings up stuff completely unrelated to the search
>>
also twitch removed the feature where you can sort clips by popularity/date/etc and instead there's an algorithmic feed that tries to mimic tiktok
the problem is that in order to feed that AI i would have to watch random clips but i don't know what to watch when i haven't fed the algorithm in the first place so it's nonsense

do you have an alternative?

>Why did they remove such a useful feature?
Because they want to push results that raise watch time. Letting people choose what they watch undermines it, surprisingly enough.
The ideal user is a brain dead zombie constantly consuming short form content.

Or maybe people were using new to find videos that end up being against the TOS?

They said that the reason is related to sloptubers abusing it. I have no idea how, maybe they kept reuploading the same video over and over or spamming videos constantly.

Either way, "after:yyyy-dd-mm" still works for now, even if it's not exactly identical.

They're probably going to remove the "before:" and "after:" search modifiers eventually, mark my fucking words.
>>
>>109452706
they're already broken for some searches. if you search, for example, before:2010 new york (or any other major city), you only get recent results from news networks.
