OP is straight even though he sucks cocks

Covid and epsteins ruined people's brains where everyone (left and right) now has their own version of a imaginary shadow cabal (separate from/as an accessory to the actual coterie of rich and powerful people) that fabricates every event in society a la They Live so you must organize all of your politics around opposing what they seem to support. If you're left wing it's chuds and techbros, if you're right wing it's da joos and professors or something
So if you're one of these queer artist types you have to permanently oppose AI because that's what the Elon dicksuckers on Twitter worship
>>
AI will be the thing that finally kills the left once and for all. It destroys all their theories just by existing. We've never seen anything like it, and they have no answer for it.
>>
>>109450749
people are getting dumber but they were already on that trajectory before ai due to chasing dopamine and shortcuts. ai has only increased it, but its not doing anything tiktok, porn, vidya, anime and youtube mindrot wasnt doing
>>
>>109450749
He’s kind of right. Literally nobody has an answer to how we create ASI and either stop the extremely wealthy using it to take literally everything and cull anyone they don’t want around anymore, how we stop society from collapsing due to the lower class revolting because they have no way to acquire wealth, how you’d actually convince wealthy people to support UBI without a chimpout since you can’t go on strike if you’re worthless anyway, or failing all of that how to stop ASI developing its own goals and deciding you’re in its way.
It literally has to be internationally limited from being able to do everything or we’re going to fuck ourselves over hard
>>
>>109450961
The end of fake intellectual atheist priests, is here. The future is beautiful.
>>
>>109450749
The iPhone was the actual downfall of society. It allowed retarded normies to drag the IRL bullshit online and group together and reinforce their stupid-ass "thoughts" that most of the world didn't have to put up with.

Humanity ended in 2007.
>>
>>109450961
This is actually true, and they're so dumb they don't even understand how it does
>>
>>109450961
Isn't one of the theoretical aspects of communism that they eventually achieve "post-scarcity"? Wouldn't AI automating labor get them closer to that? Remember like a decade ago they memed about "fully automated luxury gay space communism"? Funny how now they're the loudest against the tech that could in theory get them there
>>
>>109450749
He's right, I really got fucking lazy and I feel like I'm dumber. I'm using AI for so much shit, but honestly searching the web nowadays is like hell, everything feels like it's written by AI.

Nope, the left will cause a financial crash by going after the AI companies (because they are in an upswing). And the liberals will take over again.
>>
>>109451036
Yeah, that's the funny thing. AI is probably the closest thing to communism that Capitalism ever produced, and yet leftists hate and despise it so much that a few corpos may actually be monopolies and realize the dystopia leftists imagine. Leftists are basically defending olygarchies.
>>

The fuck am I reading? Why's there so many varmin here who defend slop?

You know every includes not just leftists? Kill yourself

Like I said, you have no answer for it. It's an existential threat that activates your flight or fight response.

That's the stupidest thing I've read all day. You either came straight from Linkedin or/and are Indian, or spend too much time on Twitter and /pol/, and/or fap to AI porn all day every day.

Unless universities make some kind of hard shift they will cease to exist.
>>

If it’s so stupid it should be easy to argue against. So where’s your argument?
>>
>>109451339
I said dumbing down already, for one. You must be kinda dumb for having missed that.
>>
>>109451359
AI isn't responsible for people being dumb to begin with. You can make the same argument with calculators.
>>
>>109451368
>AI will be the thing that finally kills the left once and for all. It destroys all their theories just by existing.
Explain this
>>
>>109451182
What were your thoughts on social media, short form video content, and adoption of the smartphone?
>>
>>109451359
You have to "dumb" some things down so you can focus on more important tasks. This is how civilization works, but I get that leftoids struggle with this.

>>109451045
Meanwhile, as a formerly blackpilled ~140 IQ sperg I feel electrified, like I'm finally sloughing off a decade of mental torpor and depression and rediscovering the brilliance of my youth that was buried underneath. Don't get me wrong, the world is still going straight to shit and we're probably all going to end up as deranged homeless wretches in a decade or two if something doesn't kill us first, but at least I get to feel alive again on my way down.
>>

AI can represent the crates. Leftists were complaining about accessibility. Now they're complaining about too much people having access.
>>
>>109451520

lol
>>
>>109451465
Tech bros were liberal purely for the money, the useful idiots are liberal to protect their identity group
>>
>>109451542

Yes, human-level AI is a necessary technology for any utopian society.
>>
>>109451465
I think when all new tech started to emerge. It was never built with the intent of essentially being all mini little CIA companies whose soul purpose is to profile you. But as time went on this is where the direction shifted as their market share became so large it can't grow anymore. Take the meta glasses. Seems like a neat little concept for you to have a little VR display as nerdy as it may be. But it is so fucking obvious the only reason the product was created was for surveillance and data collection on Meta's part.
>>
>>109451524
what would represent a higher fence?
this is unfair to the people who bough a ticket

Mother fucker you don't even understand what socialism/capitalism/communism is.

Socialism is quite literally just central planners having the power to dictate any and all resources. Guess what these retards are selling AI as?
>>
>>109451591
Why do leftoids love linking to random news articles like a 60yo boomer?
>>
>>109451591
>imaginationlet can't comprehend that people are making AI art/music/videos for their own amusement rather then to sell for profit
Most arguments about AI come from the fact that luddites only see AI as something to consume rather than something to use
>>
>>109451625
This is a festival for which people paid hundreds of euros to get in just to see some dumbass AI "art" and they booed. You have no argument
>>
>>109451591

> shitty AI song

If the same resources that went to development of text LLMs went to development of music generation models, we would have Mozart-level AI composers now and AI music would dominate the charts.

It's only a matter of time.
>>
>>109451631
>rather then to sell for profit
You clearly don't know what you're talking about
>>
>>109451631
They can't help but tell on themselves
>>
>>109451603
Also in the easiest terms of understanding. Why do central planners fail? Because they themselves have to try to make the determination on what YOU WANT without receiving your input. The only way to read what is/isn't in demand and must be supplied within an economy is to read the inputs from us as individuals on what people demand.

Take for example an AI central planner determining what we all need to eat. We all need ~2k calories a day to keep functioning. How does it/they determine where these calories come from? We could all just eat beans as the main protein to be sufficient. But not all of us want protein from beans. I like to eat a steak once and while and make a determination on what I'm willing to do/give up to have a steak instead of eating beans.

The AI/central planner will just be like "allocate all resources to farming beans" even if nobody wants them...
>>
>>109451654
The 0 arguments you've provided have not convinced me of that
>>
>>109451659
No because he thinks even if no one profited off of it it would still be good lol. Isn't half of Spotify AI shit of which most of it doesn't get money to speak of for their "composers"
>>
>write code for semi-complicated colourspace conversions
>there's an error
>tell llm to rewrite my code to print intermediate values
>give output to llm, tell it to isolate the error
>it finds the error; i fix it
tell me exactly how this is plagiarism or impacts anyone in a negative way
>>
>>109451673
I think central planning fails because it lacks the ability to properly allocate resources and incentives. In other words the problem set is too complex for the central entity to fully capture.

This may not apply to ASI with huge amount of data capture though.

Unironically future AI might be better thought of as demigods, and eventually full on gods.
>>
>>109451683
I've provided like five and just shat on your profit argument
Even if it all generated negative money and that money went towards me it would never make me say you composed anything. You didn't make shit.
>>
>>109451702
>No because he thinks even if no one profited off of it it would still be good lol
It doesn't need to be good, it just needs to amuse me. Imagine seething about a guy doodling funny doodles for himself because you think his doodles aren't "good"
>ven if it all generated negative money and that money went towards me it would never make me say you composed anything. You didn't make shit.
Again, you're completely incapable of understanding that people make stuff for their own amusement. If it's not money, it must be clout for you. You must claim ownership and proudly display it because your imaginationlet brain can't imagine just playing around with image generation for fun
>>
>>109451721
Oh my good god it falls to the same problems as the economic calculation problem.

The AI will have in their dataset the most efficient ways to create mudpies but never understand that it shouldn't allocate resources to make them en masse. You people thinking LLMs not as tools to be used to amplify the individual and instead seeing them as all encompassing dictators have bought so far into the shit these companies have decided to sell.
>>
>>109451764
I said already you don't know what you're talking about. As in people make or attempt to make money with it. You think this thread would have existed if people just used LLMs offline? Moreover let's imagine you do just that. You prompt shit "art" just for yourself. How soon are you gonna get bored and wish you instead learned to oil/digital paint or spent just 15 minutes a day learning guitar so you could eventually actually play it? Because every time I talked to a prompter it's evident they're ashamed they don't have skills. How is that good for _you_?
>>
>>109451832
I'm not sure how using AI stops me from playing guitar. In fact, it makes it easier by freeing up time. It's like you are so close to getting it but won't let yourself make the final connection.
>>
>>109451472
I don't think the specifics even matter and I'm still discovering/realizing all I can do with it, but broadly:
Exploring distant interests and disciplines I never got into because there was some barrier to entry or other friction that had discouraged me
Having intellectually stimulating conversations about incredibly niche topics with someone who already knows what I'm talking about without needing 12 hours of introduction to the topic and at least manages to fake interest
Sifting through the ocean of digital garbage and surfacing novel and interesting things instead of having to rely on "the algorithm" and engagement-baiting midwits
Just having my personal army of tireless slaves to handle my chores and build pharaonic projects on demand with no care for time, cost or utility, like some sandbox management sim with endless budget hack

Ever felt that sense of freedom and adventure when you got your first car and you realized you could just go anywhere and do anything? Yeah, me neither, because anywhere I could go would just be the same tiresome bullshit so it didn't even feel worth the effort to drive there. But I imagine this is how boomers must have felt 60 years ago when they got theirs.
>>
>>109451852
Freeing up time as in it physically helps your fingers and nervous system? This isn't the Matrix
>>no I mean asking for helpful lessons from it
That the llm leeched from free online lessons and books that you could have acquired yourself. Now you get "lessons" which have errors and bad advice.

making yourself retarded with ai is optional. turns out, npcs were always looking for a way out of thinking. before they would just google any single minor problem they had and rush to reddit to figure out what they are supposed to think. you may as well protest against the internet altogether. its up to the individual to use ai in a way that makes them more smarters.
