Yes there are entities like redhat involved in linux that are for-profit, but they make their money with corporate clients, not your average user. Valve is the closest to something like microsoft but linux is still a secondary venture for them and they already dominate with windows.
The debloating process is a humiliation ritual. Even if it were better than linux, I refuse to be cuck cattle
