what can you do on it? what's your indie performance like? I can play coffin, Celeste and touhou Luna nights at native 768. innocent witches chokes on the live2d scenes. sadly I can't turn it off on the main menu screen.
>>
opsec? dont make me laugh bro u left your full name visible mr. doe! get ready to get hacked to death
>>
>>109464067
Celeste is great :D, i can run quite a lot of things actually! finished both hollow knight and silksong on it, also runs pokemon white at a decent framerate, i use it mostly for coding in C and Asm, but an upgrade would surely be nice, any suggestion for a cheap model?
>>
>>109464157
did you play hollow knight native or proton?

i foung my shell as a celeron next to a dumpster. swapped the board out with a broken screen pentium hedwig revision off ebay for 35 bucks, swapped the screen out, and the rest is history. cool on u for coding in assembly. that's cool beans. what do you code? im about to hit the hay so i won't be able to reply until tomorrow before noon. i work early .

my laptop is from '18. really the only gripe i have with it is poor steam big picture performance and the previously stated live 2d frame stuttering. i would recommend something better than what i have but i wouldn't go overboard. 3d is for the desktop. 2d is for laptop. that is my philosophy.
>>
>>109464312
Really cool, you give a different kind of value to a machine like that lol, goodnight anon
>>
>>109464362
just get a playstation, your shit costs more and performs worse
>>
>>109464187
so it wasnt native
i tried hollow knight on my shitty laptop, with proton it ran a lot worse than on windows
i know it has a native version but it has an issue with vulkan
>>
>>109464371
it cost me 35 dollars to get a working laptop. I'm happy with what it can do. I also already have a ps1, ps2, and ps4. I'm going to get a ps3, but not anytime soon. I want to build an lga 3647 server first.
>>109464369
thank you for your kind words. I love my computer machines no matter how impotent they are. good night bromie.

Quick question: Does Zorin OS provide their source code with a price?

I once bought freebsd 14.3 dual dvd, one dvd had x86_64 binaries and the other side had i386 binaries and the other dvd had freebsd 14.3 source code for thousands of packages. However I lost my source code disk and can't find it online to download.

2nd gpu for AI gooning and illuminating the case only. I participate in these but I am anti-Fedora. I will move back to Mint when Gayland is introduced in December. KDE sucks, Fedora is the worst experience I've ever had in modern linux, but it takes too long to set everything up to switch atm.

Why are people doing this? Don't they know that compositors on Xorg suck ass compared to anything Wayland? If you absolutely want to use Xorg you should consider using it without compositor, preferably some tiling WM.

There's a bunch of games where you can force them to use OpenGL drivers instead of Vulkan, maybe try that?
But still, cracked version is probably your best bet

>what is chimera Linux?

Chimera Linux is a unique Linux distribution that goes against the status quo and the defaults
It uses musl over glibc, LLVM/Clang over GCC, Dinit over systemd and apk. I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner solely because of it's smaller amount of available packages.

>I like your hardware.
thanks, but i admit my server is rather lacking in storage, but thats due to the current prices. My current disk is two 1TB SSDs in RAID 1, i have 4 empty 2.5in spots in a front-facing hot-swap chassis and 3 empty 3.5in spots in an internal chassis; all wired and ready but ive been holding off on filling them until prices become cheaper

I'll also admit that every important piece of hardware (mobo, ram, cpu, AI accelerator) is about a decade old despite me building it only last November. Despite the age, i think it exceeds my needs and I enjoy having capable older hardware at a reduced cost.

you're a cool dude. I'm planning an infernece build myself, an lga 3647 platform.
