The clanker has clanked out a new cube for viewing: https://bradthomasbrown.com/pareto-3d/
This time it uses DeepSWE data instead of gay and dumb Artificial Analysis data, which I’m not allowed to use. Luna Max is no longer “the fastest (Tok/s)”, I’ve replaced that axis with time.

For INT, that is what DeepSWE seems to have as data. They do indeed have it slightly higher. https://deepswe.datacurve.ai/

I'm making a horror unfiction romhack like jvk1116z.esp / B3313 / imscared.exe.

I want to include a grey-area program with it that acts like a completely harmless "worm". No internet connection or local damage done. I want it to do spooky imscared.exe messages and silently lurk around their system and watching and talking to them occasionally

what can vibecode this? Even Kimi refuses when (I veil the language too).

Easy :

So for truly uncensored k3/modified k3 your options are limited with much money.
I would say get the free trial of Google Cloud and then use that 300 in credits to host K3. That will let you experience K3. It'll also give you access to the Google Cloud Console, where you can use Gemini to get advice on how to set up and tailor the solution to your needs.

A thief thinks everyone steals. Anthropic may be faggots, but they are absolutely right to rail against open weight models.

What does he thinks going to happen a year from now where we have tens of thousands of Mythos class models being run out of North Korea hacking American utility companies? They absolutely need to lock everything around AI the fuck down. We need KYC now, and China should be sanctioned for releasing open weight shit. We also need to deal with them acquiring chips through faggot ass Singaporeans.

You need to give Claude the appropriate documentation and create an MCP server for Claude to call.

https://maibriz.de/unix/ultrix/_root/sysman.pdf
https://digitalassets.lib.berkeley.edu/techreports/ucb/text/CSD-83-146.pdf (You will need to OCR this one)
https://archive.org/details/bitsavers_usenixUsenrinting198412UnixUsersManualSupplementar_62071100

These 3 should get you started for your MCP server. Once Claude has these three, I'm pretty sure it will be able to write software for 4.2 BSD effectively. How about you try that and get back to us.

I think I've read a variation of this on and off for the past couple of years, but I've been using claude intensively for the past 6 months and now I'm feeling like the thing is getting dumber and dumber
1. weird fucking solutions that need multiple rounds of fixes to even make sense
2. extremely verbose explanations that don't make any sense
3. doing the opposite of what I ask it to do, sometimes in a roundabout way. for instance, "do not commit anything yet, let me test it" -> creates a new fucking branch, commits to it, and leaves me working blind and confused on an unknown branch for hours
or maybe claude didn't change and my brain is just atrophying
>>
>>109466327

>Just got another reset
Do claude baby ducks even get resets, or do they just have to seethe when their half as good, twice as expensive models refuse to work after 2.5 prompts?

Is there even a difference between snailcats and claude users at this point?
>>
>>109466327
Yes, models are being overfit on retarded one-shot tasks because there are many users who haven't got a clue what they are doing. It affects the model's ability to complete long horizon tasks, it is trained to make every message/response/action self-contained, it doesn't want to make a change that only, it wants to make the change, run the tests, etc.
Discussing this is met with retards like >>109466333 who take it as a personal attack for some reason, it's the whole "works on my machine" but agents, these retards are unable to reason that other user's have different experience or requirements.

yes, I think this may be it. I suppose maybe I'm too used to doing things iteratively and I could try to give it more space to do the whole thing. but then again I don't think I want that. I need to experiment.
>>109466453
>he can only be helped if he shows the logs.
I'm not looking for "help" for specific problems, I'm trying to understand if my experience is unique and maybe learn something about how these tools are developing and how to maintain them over time from more experienced people
for instance, imagine an anon came and said "your claude probably has a ton of conflicting memories that are messing it up. you probably told it to work on a separate branch in the past and it just silently saved it to memory etc. clean it up or ask it to review them etc."
that would make sense, too, I guess
>>
>>109466453
How will logs help? He's describing a general issue, actually a very common issue, as anon mentioned this has been reported over and over again for a long time. You seem to believe he can prompt his way out of it, yet if you had any real experience you would know that isn't always the case, because this is trained into the model as a result of minmaxxing users instead of quality. There are more jeets, africans and south americans (foreigns) who want to spam slop on open source thinking it will get them a job than there are experienced developers who want to build. Take response length for example, the verbose slop is what foreigns want because they think it's professional or whatever, so that's what the models are trained for.
>>109466529
>give it more space to do the whole thing
That's how you get slop, unless you are babysitting it the entire time, and even then steering is often ignored and you'll still get the issues you described, except even more annoying to fix

This is a real thing it’s not in your head. It has already happened to other professions, primarily airplane pilots. Studies show that when one loses the direct connection between self and work (as in with an LLM or, way before that, with an autopilot) the work becomes a blur because you don’t feel like you are on top of it. Pilots would report that entire transatlantic flights would feel like blurs

The are ways to mitigate it and i have my own opinion on it but ultimately it’s what happens when a link that I believe is quite humane between action/reaction is severed.

Well it depends on the licensing. BSD is open source so it's easy to get the source code for it, and given the small size, putting it into a self contained MCP server makes sense. In AI, when the length of the conversation goes on longer, eventually the quality starts to decrease. This is currently a problem being looked into in the research field. But for now, reducing the length of the conversation has an improvement on the outcome of the code. So, the reason for including it, is that now, with the MCP server, Claude (or Gemma, or Qwen, or any other agent) don't have to bloat up the conversation window with lengthy source code samples. They can just query for the relevant parts of whatever BSD UNIX program they happen to be working on. That is the reason for using the MCP server for this use case.

Technically true but Dario has written multiple times that he wants open weight models to face the same restrictions that he self-imposes on his models. His bar is so impossibly high that no frontier challenging open weight model will ever be able to meet it because abliteration and jailbreaking will always be able to restore what he considers to be unacceptably dangerous capabilities to large open weight models. The only way anthropic, the safetyslop king, was ever able to "solve" the jailbreaking problem was API level classifiers which is not a feasible solution for open weight models.
>>109467445
Designing it properly should be an exploratory process, everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face. If your project is so simple that a model can follow your plan perfectly and create something that is perfectly optimized with no refactoring, are you even creating something new? Because that just sounds like your project is firmly in-sample.

Absolutely. I imagine those legacy systems were intentionally made so bad entirely on purpose. Purely to ensure the job security of the people who wrote them. And clearly that insurance policy has paid off, after all, the legacy systems still use COBOL, and COBOL is still hard as fuck to hire for. You also can't fire them easily, because of the so-called "bus factor".

I’m not complaining about people wanting to make money. If making money is your passion, that’s fine. I’m complaining about imposing your passion on others to shut down what they’re doing based on your own ideas of value.
So you can make money and refuse to do things that don’t make money.
But don’t tell someone else they should give up what they’re doing for fun because you can’t find a reason their idea will make money, it doesn’t make sense to assume that the other person thinks about money and is motivated by money just like you are, you narcissistic prick.

>>109468512
It's not even productive to shut down ideas because of "will it make money", it's impossible to predict which ideas will stick, the shotgun approach is the only method that will eventually make you money. And there's a base assumption that if you *are* making something, there is at least 1 person with a need the product might fulfill.
>>
>>109468512
How could you possibly take "make money is your passion" from my post? You are acting in bad faith.

>>
>>109468543

Palantir is a data aggregator software. They send employees to workplaces and classify all their data, even petabytes of it. Then Palantir is used to have a sort of dashboard with lenses into the data.
