The way I see it people will keep their electronics longer creating less E waste and companies will have to optimize their software to run on older hardware to make sales. I think it clear that hardware has not been the limiting factor for a while but software dev teams talent and abilities. It sucks but I can see some upsides. What I find annoying is the power usage going up on newer GPUs, they are simply using too much electricity. I would like to see a move towards efficiency for a better balance

I would be willing to try a streaming only game, but I have not been able to find one. The DRM and anti-cheat is built into the game. There is a reason for the subscription, and the game should have very fast load times. I should be able to play within 30-35 seconds of launching the game. None of that will happen though. There is more data centers going up so I should be able to get a very good connection without having to move to Ashburn.
